A new trend has surfaced for business people and consumers who are selling downloadable content on the Internet, such as digital books, exercize DVDs, films, music or even custom business presentations. It's called "On Demand Production" and allows manufacturing of CDs and DVDs on an as needed basis, eliminating the up-front costs of producing multiple titles normally associated with CD/DVD production. This is a cost effective and complete turnkey solution that can include packaging, fulfillment and inventory storage.
A recent announcement by the DVD Copy Control Association (DVD CCA) as of September 19, 2007 approved a final copy-protection specification for on-demand disc burning, making this new trend of particular interest.
On Demand DVD Production allows for DVD replication services, or the manufacture of CD/DVD products with zero inventory, which focuses on marketing of products, rather than storing CDs and DVDs.
Technically, CD and DVD On Demand Production technology is a system that even provides short run cd duplication options to manufacture CDs & DVDs, package and ship them worldwide, and then track the orders. On Demand helps customers sell download-able content over the Internet by offering content optionally on CDs or DVDs. Branding CDs or DVDs with custom artwork on the covers and sleeves is an option. People can order only as they sell and avoid the hassle of inventory, packaging and fulfillment. Plus there is an automated ordering and tracking process.
The entire process helps reduce the up-front cost of producing multiple quantities which eliminates inventory and obsolescence costs of pre-produced inventory.
"With traditional CD/DVD replication services significant quantity orders are required at one time and customers need a method to distribute them to the end user. However, there are many situations when this does not work," said Acutrack, Inc.'s Raj Barman, president and chief executive officer.
"As an example, if a training company were to require that its courses be distributed on CD or DVD and they have no idea how many students are registered for training, then On Demand Production might be an ideal solution for the situation," he continued.
People no have to worry about DVD projects because of these new On Demand expert DVD manufacturing services. They typically support DVD-5, DVD-9, DVD-10 and DualDisc formats, and comply with IRMA's anti-piracy compliance.
Other situations where On Demand Production benefits customers include companies who want to tailor their content to meet their customer's specific needs. A software company has frequent changes in their software and wants to always ship the latest version, or others who wish to convert more of their sales to the downloadable version of their product, yet they still want to offer their customers the option to order their software on CD or to order a backup CD.
If you are into music because you hope someday to perhaps perform in public, or even become a professional then you need to have ways to practice. No doubt you go around the house singing, and of course participate in the shower hall of fame. It seems both singers and non singers ,love to belt out a few lines of a song, when having a shower. However a much better way of practice is perhaps with the karaoke DVDs. If you are just starting out in pursuing your music hobby, then at first you may be a little reluctant to sing in front of others.
You most likely have been to several karaoke parties, and just have been dieing to get up there and sing, but you haven't quite got your confidence yet. By singing along with karaoke DVDs in the privacy of your home, you soon see that you feel much more comfortable. Before you know it, you'll be the one at the next karaoke party that won't give up the microphone.
The other nice feature about practicing with karaoke DVDs is the variety. Perhaps you are most comfortable with one form of music, say maybe country western. You really like some of the other styles such as rock and roll, but you don't fee confident singing them. You really haven't tried them much. Why not buy a few of them in the rock and roll style and give it a try. Maybe with a little practice you will surprise yourself and find you do have a talent for it. Anyway it won't be a waste of money because you can surely use the discs at a karaoke party for other participants.
Not only will your singing improve by practicing with the DVDs, you performance style will improve as well. By being able to sing the same song over and over again you will become comfortable with the microphone. Then you can start working on your body movements, which always enhances a performance.
Don't rush out in the beginning about a ton of karaoke DVDs. Buy a few and once you have perfected your singing abilities and performance styles, then add a few more. Continue to do that and you are not spending a fortune all at once. You will find that you are getting a nice collection of DVDs. Now its time to try something a little different.
Up until now you have been practicing in the privacy of your own home. You more than likely feel comfortable doing this in front of your family. Now its time to test yourself. Start by asking a few of your closest friends over to critique your work. It doesn't matter how close you are to them, you will most likely feel a little nervous. That's because you are performing, in your mind you are not just playing around. Don't be surprised though when they want to get up and sing a few karaoke tunes as well. It really can become addictive because its so much fun.
