[F575]Free Antivirus Internet Protection
by Michael Kanehl, Mic
How would you react if you found out that your email had been accessed without your permission? How would you feel if all your personal and private information had been leaked and was available for anyone who wanted it?

Good passwords are hard to come by. Most of us have to pick our passwords rather suddenly without much warning? Go beyond your name, your partners name birthdays, favourite colors etc. You can probably already see a pattern forming here, can't you? Ok, now for the scary part: most passwords are easily guessed and provide virtually no protection.. on the foot path where everyone can see it and grab it!

So how do we fix this? We think up a better password. Stay away from passwords that are too long and cryptic. Chances are you are going to forget them to write down; which means they are easily forgotten? Please no! That's the sort of password that snooping people want! So we need to strike a balance somewhere One that is much more than some simple detail, yet cryptic enough that it couldn't be guessed too easily.

Let's assume for a second your name is Andrew. Now, say Andrew wants something simple, yet based on his name which will act as a "keyword" to help him easily recall his password. We'll mix in some UPPER and lower case characters and some numbers to replace letters, also known as elite speak, or 1337 speak. He might come up with up AnDr3w. That's decent. If one of your hobbies is let's say surfing he might try and combine his passion with his password. We'll abbreviate "internet" as simply "net". Here come the substitution and we get "n3T". Excellent! Now to combine them as two words. Now most people separate words with a space " ", but on the internet, that is best represented as an underscore "_". So, we'll combine them both using our new tricks to get "AnDr3w_n3T". Excellent!

What you need is a password that you don't have to write down, is uncrackable, simple and comfortably to use. I say "practically" because given enough time, any password in the world can be cracked. But this one should keep the password crackers busy and by the time they're even remotely close to it, he's changed it and they will have to begin again.

Why not think of a nursery rhyme whereas you take the first letter of every word and add a number or letter.g.: "baa baa black sheep have you any wool" turns into "bbbshyaw" and "humpty dumpty sat on the wall" turns into "hdsotw2005". Let your imagination run wild with the sorts of passwords you can create using this technique.

So the next time you hear of someone's account being broken into, or see someone trying to find a sticky note with their password on it, just remember, with a password created using the above techniques you wont really have to worry as much about either of those problems.

It will be a very boring cliche to say that no person on this planet can survive in today's world without being touched by the internet in some way or the other. The Internet is everywhere around us, and we are on several places on the internet too. But the dangerous side of this is we are becoming more and more vulnerable by the day. Internet crime is on the upswing too, and we do need quick and effective securities to protect us against them. We need complete internet security.

But what is complete internet protection? Let me explain this clearly. For that, I will take the example of internet security, which is incidentally branded as complete internet protection. The features of data protection utility are a very good illustration of what your security must entail. Here are the protections that complete internet protection and related programs can give you:

1.Antivirus. Viruses are malicious codes that can enter your computer from the Internet through a variety of ways, opening certain websites, email attachments, downloading files from the Internet and so on. These viruses are actually a whole family of codes such as root kits, Trojans, worms, etc. An antivirus program will keep these away from the computer. They will routinely scan your system and as soon as a suspicious file is attempting to install on your system, they will give you a warning. When a virus does come, the antivirus will detect it, and notify you to quarantine the file containing the virus, or to destroy it long ago.

2.Firewalls. Firewalls are applications on your computer that are used to block communication between your computer and the Internet for certain websites and applications. Firewalls will usually give you a block/unblock notification when any kind of communication between your computer and the Internet is being established. You can unblock communication from trusted sites and carry on your work normally. Normally, firewalls are configured by your computer engineer when installation. However, even you can configure your own firewalls.

3.Antispyware. In today's times, an antispyware program has become very important. This is the protection against spyware, programs that surreptitiously install on your computer and then try to relay information from your computer to an external server, which could be illegal. It is very difficult to detect or to uninstall spyware once it makes its location on the PC. An antispyware program helps against this by blocking spyware programs when the attempt to install themselves.

4.Computer locks system. Only password protecting the computer is not enough. It is necessary to have a system guard on your computer which will prevent unauthorized users from trying to use your computer. At home, this kind of a lock can be used as parental control for the computer also.

Yes, there are a lot of other kinds in which you can get complete internet security too. Or you can simply invest in the guard released by internet security technologies.
