To get rid of the shaggy winter coats, you can purchase a shedding blade, or a kitchen block, much like pumice, that is used to clean out wooden stoves. By rubbing it gently on your donkey, it sheds out the old, shaggy hair, leaving a shiny coat in its place. You can buy these stones at any store specializing in wooden stoves.Blue Moss and Red Cedar have small kitchens which we call glorified kitchenettes. If you will be doing limited cooking these kitchens will suffice beautifully for your needs. If you will be doing alot of cooking you should go to any other Cabin as they have larger kitchens with larger appliances. Blue Moss and Red Cedar kitchens have very limited counter and cabinet space and small appliances.They're not at all difficult to assemble. We can generally assemble them, on site in under 40 minutes.
Until what age will a child enjoy a wooden play kitchen?
In general, children will continue to enjoy playing with our kitchens until about age 8 or 9. That is a long play life for a toy! In this eco-tourism program you will travel to learn about the life and culture of the Q'eqchi' people living near the forest. You will stay in a typical Q'eqchi' home. Their houses are very rustic, usually with wooden walls, a dirt floor, thatched roof made from palm leaves, and an open fire inside the kitchen over which your food will be cooked. The Q'eqchi' people sleep on wooden platforms without mattresses and bathe in the river.
