There are too many tales of how difficult it is to get on the internet. This especially true about Senior Citizens who think that they are "Too Old" to learn a new trick, it's no wonder! There are too many stories about scam operators who are just waiting for the innocent wanderer on the cyber highway of the internet to be picked on and fleeced, and although one has to be careful, with proper mentoring and guidance, these pitfalls can be avoided and a senior citizen can easily participate in the technological revolution that is taking place before him or her. The experience can be most exciting and rewarding to those of us who are in our twilight years.

Even those who have already gotten on the internet are found to be totally involved but only in sending e-mails to their loved ones, not realizing that there is a vast network available to them for supplemental income, which many Senior Citizens really need. The fears associated with all the horror stories told, will be addressed in an attempt to allay those fears.
The author fully realizes the pitfalls which one may encounter having encountered many technological ones as well as monetary mistakes. But with proper guidance from a mentor who has been there, these fears can be set aside.

The most common mistake made by everyone, once on the internet, is found, when you realize you need answers to your problems and you start asking for help. No question about it, ask a question and you can find an answer. However, quite often, the answer has a dollar cost to it, and once acquired, the answer leads to more questions, so you go for that answer with the ensuing cost and the next thing you know you are in a Daisy Chain going round and around. Not unlike a dog chasing its tail and getting nowhere fast. Before long you are completely lost heading for a Black Hole in the Cosmic Cyberspace Superhighway called the internet. Panic often sets in and many just quit in frustration and despair.

Well, it doesn't have to be this way, and this article and those that will follow will let you in on the secrets that the author found when he made mistake after mistake and spent countless dollars trying to find the answer he was looking for.

Quite often, the most basic mistake one can make is trying to go it alone. You have to have a mentor of sorts, if for no other reason than to realize that learning by making mistakes is the worst way to learn anything. Another main problem often committed, is scattering your shots all over the place in the hope that you will hit something in due time. You chase after one thing and another because you failed to focus on one thing at a time.
