[G463]Grammy Museum Los Angeles
by Bill Morgan, Bil
As one of the most prestigious awards in the American music world, the GRAMMY is coveted by musicians on all levels as the ultimate recognition of superiority in the industry. To celebrate the history of the ceremony, as well as the charm and longevity of the music industry on all levels, is the mission of the GRAMMY Museum.

The GRAMMY Museum is slated to open in December 2008 in downtown Los Angeles. And this hotly anticipated opening could not come any sooner. Owing to the nature of the music industry, the four-floor museum will feature plenty of cutting edge exhibits that celebrate the power of music in all of its forms. The design concept is exciting and interactive, making it a must-visit at the much-anticipated L.A. Live project.

Its debut will coincide with the 50th anniversary of the GRAMMY Awards ceremony, so there will be plenty of buzz around the day. There will be much attention paid to the more than two dozen exhibits that explore every genre of GRAMMY Music, ranging from country and rock to Latin and jazz music. Fans of any kind of music will be welcome at the GRAMMY Museum.

One of the most exciting planned features is a 200-seat GRAMMY Sound Stage which will probably host a fascinating array of events. Another neat feature is the Rooftop Terrace, which promises to be a hot location for private events and special celebrations because of the view of the rejuvenated downtown Los Angeles.

The GRAMMY Museum will not just be razzle and dazzle though ? there will be plenty of educational and thought-provoking programs featuring films, presentations, and lectures that will explore the more serious concepts behind music. That means that the GRAMMY Museum will be great fun for everyone, so make sure to stop by once it is opened.
