Carb-o-Lite Exterior Awnings

Carb-O-Lite is a new innovative Awning that is not only durable but is attractive in its design adding a stylish and modern appearance to any Patio, Carport or Window Covering. Designed as a complete leak proof roofing system and with its solar control reflects a "cool lighting" effect, not to dissimilar to a neon light in an office.
Carb-O-Lite Awnings are fixed to walls or Fascias with only the best quality arms and brackets. Carb-o-Lite Comes in five colours each With Varying Light Transmissions.

The Waterproof System

Rubber seals are made from high quality EPDM. Our Standard colour is Black. The rubber seal is used for both the H Section and the end U Capping. This requires a little moisture to allow the rubber to slip on to there sheet more freely.

The aluminum section or "H Bar" measures 50mm wide and 16mm high. All Screws are placed into the specially designed single groves on top of the section. It is specially designed with single grooves on the top of the section. All screws are placed into the groove. When penetrated the screws will not touch the sheet yet still allows a gap large enough so the sheet can expand and contract through the section. This is known as the rabbet depth. To allow the bar to be bent & curved it is made from a soft alloy.

The sheets are open fluted and therefore need to be covered for this we use two types of tape. On the gravity end (i.e. the end of which the water runs to). We only use a butyl tape (Tar Tape) that has a protective silver tape on top of the sticky tar to prevent it from sticking to each other. While at the other end to prevent dust penetrating we use an aluminum silver tape. The U Channel simply caps off the end of the open sheet and then it is pop riveted onto the H Bar.

All aluminum extrusions are available in Pearl White, Bronze, Primrose and Satin Black. Special colours are available on request. Carbolite comes in 8mm and 10mm thicknesses

Benefits

Solar Control: The Common complaint with awnings is the heat buildup. When Enclosing with a roof the heat is then radiated threw the awning thus warming the air below. This hot air needs to rise but is now obstructed by a roof, making the air under the roof seem hotter than outside. With our solar controll sheets available in Solar Ice & Solar Metal we have managed to avoid this by reflecting a much larger percentage of heat over the entire spectrum.

UV Protection: In recent years Solar ultravoilet light other wise known as UV Radiation has become a major health concern with skin cancer and even premature aging just some of the affects associated with UV Radiation. Our Carb-O-Lite sheets will block out UV radiation & UV-A Radiation.
