In other words, success will never jump on your back and say giddy-up. An opportunity kit will not jump out of the box it came in and drag you to the bank while the two of you are laughing all the way.
If you are used to selling anything online you will get some customers that will be mad at you because of the high price you put on the product they bought from you. They thought it was a good deal when they bought it but after they opened up the information they decided they either knew all that already or that they got ripped off without even giving the information a chance.
The truth is most of your customers like your opportunity product. Even if it is an exceptional product though you will still get a certain percentage of refunds. Every product has it's own refund percentage to it of course. For some products it's higher, for some it is lower.
Someone may gripe that they were amazed at how little information was in the actual e-book they got for the money. Yet they do nothing with the information. And the truth is, the content, providing it is good accurate content, is only good information if someone applies it, right? After all, some people make excuses, others make money.
Maybe you saved the customer thousands of dollars from buying some another more prestigious product that they couldn't afford, yet they do nothing with the less expensive version except find fault with it.
This is really just an excuse for them. They really don't want their dreams bad enough. These types of customers are "lifers" that will float from opportunity to opportunity forever never settling down on anything and putting in the hard work that is required to achieve their goals.
After all, hard work? That's not my dream, I just want the money and the recognition. Many times a guy working for a sheet metal company for example, has to buy expensive steel-toed work shoes, his own power drill and other power tools and that's just for a job. Maybe he even has to have his own work truck.
Yet another person will gripe and complain if they have to invest a little money in their own business. Even a woman who works at a bank or a professional business office of some sort has to spend money on clothes and women's clothes are not cheap. And again, that is just for a stinking job.
Why is it that as soon as someone decides to be their own boss they all of the sudden mentally go on vacation by not putting in the required effort that it takes to become successful. Like Thomas Edison said, "success is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration."
Many people cannot handle being their own boss simply because they have been told what to do all their lives. To be successful in life you have to learn how to motivate yourself.
Let's face it, no one likes to push their selves. It's so much easier to be forced to do stuff. I used to be amazed at what I would accomplish at work for someone else, yet at home for myself I would get nothing done.
Your biggest source for motivating yourself is to get around successful people. Success breeds success. Learn to motivate yourself with books, mp3's, etc. Study your field of expertise. And most of all take action. Action creates belief and belief creates results. Belief and action together will give you the needed "how-to" to get things done.
1.) Grab a hold of a rock not a marshmallow - if you want to be a success in your niche listen to and study the people who make the most money. Learn from the best.
2.) Become a firefly - the firefly only gives light when he is on the wing - when he is in action. Learn to be like the firefly and take action. Put your ideas and information into practice. Don't spend money on an expensive weekend seminar and then come home and do nothing.
Action creates belief and belief gives you ideas and the needed know-how. Action stimulates your thinking. Many times I get flooded with great ideas when I am in action. Like the firefly you will only be giving off light as long as you are on the wing or in flight!
3.) Shape your environment - Learn to bend it to your will. Bath your brain daily with the knowledge of successful people (I get read-hot ideas and I then put them into action from listening to winners and professionals in my field of expertise).
Rejuvenate your mind daily. Bend your environment to shape your thinking. Learn to control your environment instead of it influencing you (i.e. don't watch the news, it's a real Debbie Downer).
4.) Write down your ideas - I have gotten some of my best ideas while at work, in the shower, during the middle of the night. Make it a habit to keep a small notepad with you at all times. These "ideas" come from our sub-conscious as it steers us towards our dreams. Don't let those ideas disappear.
5.) Plan your day - write down your day's goals that you want to accomplish. You will be amazed at how many things you will get done without even remembering that you wrote them down earlier.
6.) Become a red light runner - No, not in real life of course. Real red light runners should go to jail and lose their licenses. (At least drunk drivers have an excuse for why they kill people).
What I am talking about here is that when you go do something important, the lights will not always be green. Most people will say you can't start a business in this town, in this economy, at your age, etc. All these types of people can see is a giant "can't" word stuck in the way. Remember you are an Amer-I-Can!
When it comes to success I am a red light runner because whenever I go to do something worth while I always face red lights. So I run right through them because when I want to do something bad enough nobody can stop me. I become obsessed with it!
My wife knows better than to tell me no when it comes to buying something that I want because if I know it's right I will go after it even if the end of the world starts at 3 P.M.
Example: a few years back when I first started to make some good money from my business I went to buy my dream guitar. All the sudden my van started acting up. I told myself I didn't care if that stinkin' van puked and fell into the ground. I was going to get that guitar - and I did! And I never regretted it! You can't let the red lights of life hinder you from getting your dreams.
7.) Visualize success - train yourself to see things as you would have them to be. As an experienced warrior does, see the battle won even before you go into it. We really do live in a matrix and you can control that matrix by concentrating on seeing yourself accomplishing your goals.
Focus your mind on your goals as if you were running for president. See yourself sitting in the oval office and having won the election. See yourself being sworn in. Even the bible says to see things as you want them to be and not as they are.
8.) Keep a wining attitude - get your attitude up and your income will follow. Get your attitude down and your income will follow. A winning attitude will always beat any other advantage someone else might have.
