A web landing page – also called a squeeze page – is a web page created to solicit opt-in e-mail addresses from potential customers or subscribers. Visitors enter their name and e-mail address, usually in return for a free download such as a white paper or e-book. Most squeeze pages have four key sections:
1. Headline – Grab the user's attention quickly with a captivating offer.
2. Sub headline – Pull the visitor deeper into your message.
3. List of benefits – Highlight exactly “what's in it for them!”

3. Use an autoresponder You can automate the entire process, from opt-in and follow-up e-mails to sales and fulfillment, with an autoresponder and “shopping cart” software. Google has changed the way they rank squeeze pages, so be sure to keep these guidelines in mind:
•Squeeze pages should no longer be single page websites – 4 or 5 pages is best
•Site content should be about 200 words
•Include links on your home page linking to your pages with similar content
•Place the links at the bottom of your home page
•Talk to your webmaster about site optimization

There are several ways on how you can easily build your mailing list. First, you can send an unsolicited e-mail to a particular e-mail address and give the recipient an option to decline from future mailings from your company. Another similar advertising method through e-mail is by having the customer fill out a form and there is an automatic check on the checkbox for future mailings to be received.
The opposite of this is that the customer needs to check a box in order to receive promotional materials from your company in the future. Finally, there is a method where a customer who wants to be subscribed to your mailing list, would need to receive a confirmation via e-mail and later on will be given further instructions. You may try to apply these methods and find out which one is the most effective in building your customer list.
In the official web site of your company, there may be a lot of visitors but the challenge is to have them sign-up for future mailing from you before leaving your web site. In designing your web site, make sure that the link to sign-up for future mailings is displayed prominently. By collecting a huge mailing list, you will be building a solid customer base that you can entice to subscribe to the product or service that is offered by your company.
