[H1276]How To Increase Strength
by Tim Grice, Tim
When it comes to promoting your site online it can really be quite a drag. There are many resources out there to help you but this either means spending lots of time building links manually or using spamming software to litter you link all over the net. Personally I tend to delete spam and so does the mighty google. So what do you do spam or spend loads of time looking for link partners, it seems like a lose, lose to me.

I would personally look to promote a site as a quality one with genuine authority. This means looking for sites that have a high PR and are respected within your industry. You see we all want are sites to be great but sometimes we lack the understanding needed to put them on the map. Remember that Google will use your links from other sites to judge yours. The higher the quality and authority the higher your site will appear in the SERPS.

This also works the other way. If you put your link on a low quality and less respected site your site will be painted with the same brush unfortunately. It can take an immense amount of hard work and effort to make up for the bad reputation you have already been labeled with due to that one link.

So you must look for quality links and some of the best places to look are web directories. A well respected web directory will use a pay per review method and give you a high quality, well maintained backlink. I just want to go over a few points with regards to choosing a web directory.

- Ensure you can put your link into a category that is relevant to what you have to offer. When it comes to SEO, relevance is everything.

- Make sure the description of your website is unique in order to grab maximum attention from the websites.

- Ensure the directory maintains few links inside the category as it keeps your link strength high.

- Only keeps quality links within the directory as it is important your site is linked to other respected sites.

These tips will help you maintain the strength of your links and ensure that your site gets the maximum respect from the search engines. Linking is not a straight forward game and the search engines are continually changing what they want from your linking strategies. One thing I know will never change is that quality will always override quantity and you should keep this in mind no matter what your linking strategy is.

D-Ribose (often just called ribose) is found in every cell of the body as a natural simple sugar and is essential for life. Its role is to manufacture energy for muscles and other tissues and is considered important for active people. Ribose has a taste and also appears like powdered sugar. Ribose is on a rapid increase as a sports supplement due to the ever growing belief that is increases power, strength and stamina and reduces muscle fatigue.

One of the greatest benefits of ribose is the rate at which it is quickly absorbed into the bodies cells and converted to energy for muscle performance optimisation. The body does naturally make ribose but when under load when we take on strenous and intense physical activity, the body is unable to keep up with the supply that is demanded by the muscles. This lack of ribose can lead to the early onset of muscle fatigue and contribiute to muscle soreness. Hence, the possible need for a ribose supplement if you are an endurance and strength athlete.

D-Ribose research and studies by Burke 1999 show ribose decreases fatigue and muscular soreness and speeds up the process of recovering energy molecules. The body, in particular the muscles, are delivered high quality fuel if ribose is taken before and after a workout. Its use also heightens the reaction leading to repair, development and cell reconstruction.

D-Ribose is deemed highly beneficial prior to, during and at the completion of vigorous exercise under anaerobic conditions, such as sprint speed work and resistence exercises. The recooperation of the fundemental muscle building blocks are promoted by ribose. If the cells building blocks aren't maintained they are washed from the cell and head to the blood stream.

A study by Antonio, Falk and Van Gammeren 2001, measured the performance of male body builders over a four week period. The men were split into 2 groups with 10 in each test group. Ribose was given prior to and after workouts to one group and the others received a placebo. The results showed the ribose users demonstrated a major increase in the number of repetitions of bench presses to muscular fatigue and failure and an increase in optimum strength.

Ribose supporters agree that the ribose dosage should be very close to 10grams and concur that it is best taken 5grams before exercise and 5 grams at the completion of exercise. A formula that is also suggested if exercise is to endure over a long period with its intensity maintained, is to break the 10gram dosage into 3 batches adding a dose at the mid point of exercise.

When it comes to dosage D-Ribose needs to be administered with some precautions. Temporary lightheadedness, when taken on an empty stomach may occur when taking 10g or more. It is strongly suggested that single Ribose doses should be 5g or lower and taken with juice drink, food or sports drinks. It should not be taken by those that are pregnant or nursing mums.

Ribose is also considered to have wonderful benefits for the heart. Ever wondered when your heart gets to recover from that constant beating? Many people think that their heart gets a break and rests when they are asleep, but the body's need for the supply of oxygen never halts, so sleep time is not rest time for the heart. In fact, the heart gets its rest periods in between beats! The muscles of the heart are filled with oxygen-rich and energy-laden blood, which restores the cells between heartbeats so that they are primed to contract and expand upon demand the very next beat! Ribose plays a key role here.

Our body synthesizes many chemicals called "nucleotides" for the manufacture of chemical energy and energy transporters. When under physical duress, intense exercise, or recooperating from heart surgery, heart attack or organ transplant surgery, the muscular systems in the body (including the heart) will have less amounts of nucleotides. The human body passes through steps to take the food that we have eaten and the air we breathe in and turns it into energy for our body cells. The body's primary energy-carrying molecule, adenosine triphosphate or ATP is synthesized via a number of chemical reactions within the body. Ribose forms part of the backbone of ATP, therefore assisting muscle repair, development and recovery.
