Well thats the $60,000 question and there are many ways to do so.

As many people will tell you the internet is an Aladdins Cave of opportunities to make a succesful business work and prosper online because at the end of the day thats what we want. For me there is no point in making a quick buck, think about it would you rather make $2,000 - $5,000 on an idea that once it's over thats it or would you prefer to make a steady income that will see you financially free for the rest of your life?

Like I said earlier there are many ways to build a business online and in many fields but for most people that are looking for a relatively quick way to start making money online I would recommend Affiliate Marketing. I have picked this field for a few reasons :-

1) Within the affiliate market there are many markets or niches so you should be able to find one that suits you or that you are interested in.

2) It's a very competative market which you might think surely that means it's hard to make any money but I would say no because allbeit competative it is indeed very lucrative, you see like I said previously you can find a niche that your interested in and if your interested in it you'll most likely find others are too and if your giving them what they want they will buy.

3) I like to help people because when I first started trying to earn money online there was no one there to guide me and I made alot of mistakes and lost a lot of money, now working in the area I do I have helped many people build there online businesses, giving advice and recommending products that will help them, nothing better than to watch someone you have got to know succeed.

The real key to success is trust if your target market don't trust you then you are never going to succeed, you could be selling the answer to the worlds power issues or the economical crisis but if they dont trust you it doesn't matter.

I mentioned before about giving your prospective buyers what they want and they will buy, it's true but you need to make sure that what they buy is what they want and need because if you recommend some rubbish just to make money they will never comeback as the trust is gone but if you give them something that fulfills their requirements and delivers what its says they will buy again and in any business returning customers are paramount. Not only will they buy they also are the best advertising you will ever get. Simply if you were offered two items but your friend recommended one saying they had tried it and it really worked which do you think you would buy?

Ok this is where the work starts, firstly pick a niche preferably something your interested in and definately something you know about like a hobby or it could even be the field you currently work in.....Example you could like fishing, bowling, music or you might work in realestate, stockmarket, dog training....etc. Virtually anything can be turned into an online business and become successful but this will not happen overnight and anyone telling you that you'll become a millionaire in one day it's most likely a scam.

So now you have picked your niche you now need to find products to promote to do with that niche, if it's something you do as a hobby or even the field you work in you might already have notes or ideas that you jotted down describing how to over come a particular thing or even diagrams of something you designed. Well all these things can be put together to create and ebook or a simple word document and that could be your first product, obviously you need to make this look as professional as possible and if it is an original product to yourself put on the document that it is copywrited to you.

Alot of people might think copywriting it's all getting complicated but not at all and think about it if you designed something then it's yours and no one should be allowed to copy it without your permission....Ok a really simple way of copywriting something is :- Mail it to yourself and never open the envelope leave it sealed, the post mark which is dated shows when you created it as long as you haven't opened it. Like I said it's a very simple and basic way of doing it.

What do you do if you haven't got any of your own material to sell, easy this is where affiliate marketing comes into play. The best place to go in my opinion is Clickbank you can go there sign up for an account, login and then goto their marketplace where you can search for products within the niche you have chosen which you then promote and earn yourself affiliate commissions. When choosing products I would personally suggest to purchase the product first, use it then promote it because then you can give an honest review of the product and if it didn't do what it said or it was just no good then you know not to recommend that item which goes back to the trust issue I mentioned. I do realise that not everyone will want to buy every product they sell as it can be costly so the next best way to choose products to sell is look at the following three things within the Search Clickbank market place list:-

*$/sale: $22.05 | This column is the commission you will earn on each sale, you should be looking for no less than $20.00.

*%refd: 58.0% | This column shows how many of the sales are by affiliates like yourself the higher the better.

*grav: 63.33 | The Gravity of a product gives you an idea of how many people are promoting this particular item, you should be looking for between 60 to 100 if the gravity is low generally means it's not selling well and that's not what we want.

Right you've found your product so now the choice is do you buy it and test it or just do some good research to get an idea of what the product is about and what potentially it will do or says it will do for the purchaser. Well if you buy it then you have the product, put it through it's paces make notes of good and bad points and at the end if you think this was a good product then promote it and make your sales. If your just gonna research it then look at the list again where you found the gravity etc and you will see "view pitch page" click on this and you will see the sales page read it thoroughly and you can even search Google for reviews once you have read enough then write your own review of the product and that will be your sales page or even easier you can click on "create hoplink" and just create your own personal affiliate link to that product and then just promote that link so you don't even need a website to do this.

You've now got your killer product, your sales page or atleast your affiliate link to promote and now here is the real crux of it all customers or potential customers anyway, you need to get them to see what you are selling. Many people will tell you that Pay Per Click Advertising is the way to go such as Adwords but although it is good it can be expensive and after all we're trying to make money not spend it. Personally after years of being an internet marketer I have found that FFA Sites, Classified Ads, Traffic Exchanges and Email Marketing (Not Spamming Though) is the most effective and all completely FREE. On my blog you can find links to all the free resources that I personally use myself, when you start to get into promoting your products I say products because hopefully you have found more than one good quality product within the niche you have chosen.

You might want to write yourself a little schedule putting aside atleast an hour to two hours a day to surf your traffic exchanges which in turn builds up credits and they equal page views to your link or sales page that your potential customers click on and hopefully buy, FFA Sites are Free Ad sites you just go there write alittle about and the product more eye catching the better and your ad will rotate for upto 30 days but you can run mutiple ads in different lisitings getting more exposure. Classified Ads are just that and Email Marketing is simply gaining the emails of people that are interested in your niche via an optin or safelist program but never just send your promotion emails to random people that have not displayed an interest in what you are doing as this is known as SPAMMING and is ILLEGAL.....The great thing if you use Clickbank your money is safe and you are paid regularly.
