[H1545]How To Remove Blackheads Naturally
by Angela Neo, Ang
Blackheads are known as open comedones. It is a type of acne vulgaris and is triggered primarily by excess oil.

When excess oils accumulate on the pores and become toxic, it subsequently is exposed to oxidization and becomes a blackhead.

Oily and combination skin types are most vulnerable to blackheads. If left untreated, it can become quite problematic and difficult to remove.

Whitehead is yet another type of acne vulgaris. However, unlike blackheads, it is not so obvious.

Whiteheads are primarily caused by pores clogged with excess oils and dead skin cells.

Most people will try to get rid of blackheads and whiteheads by squeezing with their fingers. This is not advisable because it can lead to scarring and infection.

It will take time for you to remove blackheads and whiteheads. However, you can use acne products that are effective in removing them without any infection or scarring.

Salicylic Acid - assist in getting rid of bacteria and excess oil. It is a very effective solution for removing blackheads.

AHA - this is effective in whitehead removal as well as getting rid of dead skin cells.

Benzoyl Peroxide - not as effective as the above for removing blackheads but it is used commonly for treating pimples.

Accutane - this should be used as a last resort and only for severe cystic acne. If possible, try to avoid using Accutane as it has many side effects.

Home Remedy - you can also use a face steam to remove whiteheads. Add some essential oils to the steamer. The essential oil can be use for anti bacteria purposes.

You can also use lemon juice to help reduce excess oils on the skin while it acts as an astringent.

You can also use pore strips to remove loose blackheads and whiteheads. If you combine it with the usage of salicylic acid, you should be able to remove these impurities quite successfully.

However, remember not to overdo with the pore strips. You should use the salicylic acid solution for a while to loosen the clogged pores and use pore strip once or twice a week to remove the dirt.

It's tough growing up with acne. Even worse, it's hard to look in the mirror and see ugly blackheads. After years of having acne, I ended up learning from the top acne experts so that I can deal with this problem that affected my life. You don't have to spend a bunch of time doing what I did. Here are 5 methods that I've used for getting rid of blackheads safely:

Washing Your Face

This may sound like simple advice, but people just don't do it when they should. I remember during high school, girls didn't wash their face after P.E. class. It really didn't matter if we were all sweaty after a workout or even after running a mile. Since we had only several minutes to get ready before our next class, we all rushed just to get ready and make out hair look pretty.

My rule is to wash your face in the morning, in the evening, and when you really should do it. That includes washing your face after exercising. Pick up a skin cleanser from your local department store that is especially made for morning and night time cleansing. Some cleansers are so strong that you don't want to use them so often. In fact, some can actually dry out your skin and make it harder to remove the blackheads. Make this a habit and you'll get rid of blackheads and prevent them from showing up again.

Using Olive Oil

Some people say that you shouldn't use anything oily on your skin. The truth is that your skin produces oil when your body thinks that your skin needs it. What you want to do is take care of your skin and wash it on a daily basis or when needed.

Olive oil works as a natural moisturizer. By massaging it on your face, you'll naturally rub it away. Since the olive oil works as a lubricant, you can massage your skin vigorously without causing any harm to your skin.

Using Biore

Have you ever thought of using Biore for blackheads? Most people use it as an alternative skin cleanser. Many people use it to remove old oil from their nose. However, there are much more uses for it.

So how do you use it to remove blackheads? All you have to do is take a warm, clean, and damp cloth and apply it to the blackhead. Keep it there for several minutes. After doing so, apply the Biore strip to the blackhead. After 10 to 15 minutes, pull on the strip lightly. The Biore strip should be stuck to the blackhead and giving it a little tug will pull the blackhead away from your skin.

Using a Facial Scrub

This is a simple and easy method. The trick is to use a facial scrub that contains exfoliators. If you've never used one before, it has somewhat of a gritty texture. You can use this with warm water and rub it over the blackhead. This will help loosen it up. In a matter of time, the blackhead will be removed from your skin.

Using a Blackhead Removal Tool

You can find this tool in many department stores for around $15. Before using this, make sure that it is clean. Then use a warm towel or warm steam to open up the pores. Then use the tool to remove your blackhead. Make sure that you follow the instructions that are provided.
