This is because house owners are either unwilling to or unable to spend money on their properties to bring them to sellable condition. Which makes it lesser attractive to the buyer. This is because buyer expects the property to be at a certain decorative standard.

These companies then offer price for your property based on the true market price. If you accept then they can come up with cash pretty quickly ? so that you can pay the arrears, clear debts or mortgage or buy another property. The whole process takes pretty simple steps to as follows:

* Explain your situation. Answer simple questions of the buyer
* Ask for a valuation based on house type and location
* May visit your home to check the valuation is accurate.

Combined with the additional savings you make this has to be better than going through an estate agent and potentially waiting months before you achieve a price anywhere near your asking price, especially in today's market.
There are other alternatives such as selling it through an auction but again this can take weeks to set up and there is of course no guarantee that your property will sell at the auction or that a decent price will be achieved. So in my opinion using a company that offers to buy your property quickly for cash is not a bad option at all if you want to sell up quickly and emigrate to another country as soon as possible.
