[H1216]How To Get Website Ip
by Adam Spiel, Ada
Now, I know you're saying "Hold on Adam, I don't have a lot of money to go out buying traffic—I'm just getting started."

Let me tell you what I mean— there are lots of different ways to "buy" traffic.

With the "free traffic" methods I explained earlier (social bookmarking, social networking, blogging, forums, etc...) you are "spending" your time going out and creating all those back links to your website, but again you are "spending" your time to create that traffic.

Now, does it cost you anything? Do you have to hire anyone to do it for you?

You could, but not necessarily. You are doing it yourself. But your Time = Money, and you are essentially buying traffic with your time. See what I mean?

Also, look into joint venture (JV) partners or affiliates—what if they are promoting your product for you?

JV Partners and affiliates are some of the best source of traffic, sales, and leverage! I highly recommend that you get here as fast as you can in your online business.

Well, by this time you are doing a little better because you are leveraging the JV partners or affiliates efforts and their e-mail lists.

But when that JV partner or affiliate drives traffic to your website and you make a sale, you "pay" that JV partner or affiliate a commission on that sale.

The nice thing is that you don't have to pay them if they don't make a sale, but again, you are essentially paying them for traffic. And rightly so—JV partners are an incredible source of leverage and income in your online business!

Now there is an important thing to make note of here - if you have people whether they be JV's or affiliates, with lists of people, and they are selling your product, you are giving them a commission.

You are getting more than a sale in return - you are getting a customer. This person is now in one of your lists. Not just an audience or newsletter list - a "buying customer" list. That is worth its weight in gold.

As you develop a relationship with them, you have someone that you may sell additional products to, or even get into what is called a continuity loop. This is when you have them subscribing to a service and paying you on a recurring basis.

Now, when you are just getting started out---especially if you don't have your own product yet and you are just promoting affiliate products---you don't necessarily have JV partners or affiliates under you.

You are using your own time to create traffic and generate income, and so a great way to leverage your efforts and your time is to generate traffic using PPC.

These are ten ideas that are sure to help your business and will give you an explosion in the market. I suggest that you look at them and use them wisely to help people truly see what value you have. You can have the cure for cancer, but it won't matter if you are trying to sell from a store in the North Pole.

1. Bring your laptop everywhere.

This might sound silly, but if you can do it subtly then this can be a great way to get people on board with what you offer. Pictures can truly be worth a thousand words if you have the right backing.

2. Use a newsletter of an E-book to advertise your website.

Provide good information in one of these two streams of media and then connect it back to your site. Tell them there is more information for free and valuable items that will help with their business or service. This is so valuable because this will allow for you to simply brand without a lot of stupid ploys for money.

3. Give press releases to trade magazines, local media and other places that will create partnerships or customers.

You want one piece of work to go out to a million people instead of a million pieces of work going to a few people. Let people know what you have and try to market it like crazy. Sometimes the best thing to do is use off-site marketing that will appeal to the common person that would never be able to find you any other way.

4. Do e-mail or post card campaigns.

I am going to lean more toward e-mail campaigns because this is easier and less costing. Although you need to make sure you can take care of a database and follow can-spam laws to not spam your clients and get through the ISPs to your marketing audience. This can save you a lot of time with a click of the button.

5. Offer special deals in your promotional media.

There are countless people out there searching for every scrap of information and they would prefer to read an anthology of literature from you before ever acting because of their fears. I don't say this negatively, but appeal to that side of them so they will gain trust in you and value your brand when the phone call or e-mail comes offering them a product for money in return.

6. Avoid paper.

Stay away from post cards, fliers, and mini-brochures as much as possible. There are times when you will have no choice if you are at a trade show or a convention, but try to stay away because it will take time and money to get that together and it can be difficult to send out the information to people who might not even be close to your targeted demographic. Fool around with e-mails, e-zines, and e-books first before attempting to do tangible marketing.

7. Stamp your name everywhere.

Just get your name out there and you will find people in the oddest ways. These people could be customers and they could also be clients that are interested in your business. Keep your company on your mind, on your keyboard, and on the tip of your pen at all times.

8. Don't have a static website.

Updating your information on your site will keep people coming back because they know there will always be new cutting edge information on your site to learn. It will also be good for any search engine in their ranking systems.

9. Article marketer can be a great blessing.

This is one of the best marketing tools out there and I suggest it to everyone. It allows for one piece of work to be picked up by numerous sites and read by hundreds of people. This is what I was talking about when I mean letting the marketing doing the work instead of you trying to put in the grunt work to reach probably only a few people.

10. Be relentless.

You will face a lot of challenges from other companies and criticism from them and potential clients. Take the feedback they give you, but don't get frustrated and give up. You will face many challenges with your business, but if you can be persistent with your marketing then eventually you will find the right people.
