Being fat can lead some of the diseases into the body. Some of these diseases are deadly. Some may not but will drastically reduce your quality of life. The diseases include heart disease, stroke, diabetes, cancer in some part of the body, arthritis and hypertension.
Losing weight helps to prevent and control these diseases.
The methods of losing weight have been proposed by many experts. Some of them work and some don't. A lot of these methods do not carry on with long lasting results. Once you decide to follow one of them, make sure that you select the right one. You also have to understand that there are a lot of fake supplements that claim to help fat loss in the market. Many of them do just give you temporary result. You will have to see by yourself which one matches your needs the most. It is better to rely on a healthy weight loss option which will provide lifetime results.
If you want to have lose weight and still be healthy, here are some of the tips that you can follow:
1. Don't turn yourself into starvation mode.
Do not skip meals. If you do that your brain will notice it as a bad sign and will turn your body into starvation mode. You will be storing more fat than you used to be. Your body metabolism will be drastically reduced. You will burn less fat.
The fat will later be accumulated in your unwanted area. You will have bigger belly, butt, and legs. I don't think you want that when your aim is to lose weight.
2. Get the right breakfast.
While you should not have only coffee as your breakfast, you should not either take a load of dairy at that time. You will have to select the right one for yourself. Make sure that your breakfast have to light and also nutritious.
3. Instead of having large meals. Break it down to small meals but more frequent.
If you look at most of the meal plans that are offered in the market for fat loss, most of them allow you to have five or six small meals than just three big meals. Overeating in a meal can be dangerous and unhealthy. You have to change your eating habits if you are used to big meals each time you eat.
4. Have a clear goal on weight loss.
Make your goal also realistic. You can not lose what you have accumulated in the last ten years within two months. Find the guideline of goal setting and follow it. You will need goal if you want a success in your weight loss.
5. Do not dehydrate your body. Drink enough clean water per day.
Water will help your metabolism process. At the end, you will burn fat faster. It will also help you to eradicate excess waste from your fat burning process. Do not ignore water drinking if you want to stay healthy when you are losing weight.
6. Sugar is dangerous for your body.
While you are taking action on your weight loss plan, stay away from anything that is sweet. This also includes your favorite fruits. Sugar can be stored as fat and it is bad for your body.
7. Avoid bad type of fat consumption.
You will have to learn which fat is good and which fat is bad for you. Some fat gives you benefits on balancing your body metabolism. Some fat even help your brain function. While many of the fat are so malicious that they can kill you. Learn for yourself on which one is right and which is wrong.
8. Have enough exercise. Do it every opportunity you can.
Your daily activities can be your exercise if you know how to apply it. You can choose to use the stairs in stead of using elevators or escalators. You can park your car farther than you used to and walk faster. You can lift your water bottles while you are reading your emails. All can be easily done with the right knowledge.
If you don't know how to do, search for the right resources in the internet.
If you have the right goals and plan, you should be able to follow them efficiently. You then are not far from seeing the result you want. You can start with slow pace and move faster later on. Weight loss is time consuming process. You should not expect the result overnight. It took you many years to gain the pounds you are having now. So you have to understand that it takes you time to lose them also.
It is quite natural for us to compare ourselves with others when it comes to issues of weight rather than against any objective scientific standards. This can be a problem when you look around your local shopping mall and try and decide what constitutes normal and healthy these days. Deep down we know what is good for us but we continue to nurture the fastest growing levels of obesity on the planet.
So just how do you go about determining your own healthy weight?
Well because there are so many factors that influence our bodies and our health, setting a specific ideal weight for everyone is a difficult task. It is actually more helpful to consider a healthy weight range rather than a specific weight for your given height. Enter the Body Mass Index (BMI).
The Body Mass Index is a simple formula that tells you if you fall within the range of what is considered a healthy weight for your height. The BMI is very useful because it correlates closely to your body fat percentage and all you need to know to figure it out is your weight and your height measurements. You just enter these values into the BMI equation and the resultant figure is your BMI.
To calculate your BMI, follow these steps:
STEP 1 : Your Height Figure | Measure your Height in metres and then multiply that figure by itself (eg: 1.7m x 1.7m = 2.89)
STEP 2 : Your Weight Figure | Measure your weight in kilograms (eg: 70kg)
STEP 3 : Your BMI | To calculate your BMI, divide your Weight Figure by your Height Figure (example: 70 divided by 2.89 = 24.22)
Then check your BMI against the standard BMI ranges as follows: Underweight: BMI less than 18.5 Ideal Weight: BMI 18.5-25 Overweight: BMI 25-30 Obese: BMI 30-40 Very Obese: BMI greater than 40 If your BMI falls outside the Ideal Weight range, you may need to look further into your particular weight issue, whether it is to reduce your weight or possibly to put on a few pounds. People who maintain an ideal BMI range tend to enjoy the best health. However, it is important to remember that there are many other factors that come into play including our body fat percentage, cholesterol levels, blood pressure, the kind of foods we eat and the amount of physical activity we get. Establishing the benchmark of your ideal healthy weight can actually be a liberating experience as it provides a reference point for taking additional necessary steps on the road to a healthier happy you!
