[H1340]How To Lose Fat Legs

With summer coming you are probably wondering how to lose fat legs. It is so easy for the fat to quietly build up under all those winter clothes. Now you are thinking about the summer, swimming and the beach. Does the though of appearing in you swimsuit send shivers down your spine? Well, help is here, read on.

What you have to keep in mind is, there are a few basics to the whole process:

* To lose fat legs you will have to lose weight all over

* You will also have do some exercise

1. Dieting to lose weight all over:

You cannot expect to lose any real amount of weight without following a diet. It is not possible to spot reduce when it comes to diet, that you will be doing with exercises. Unfortunately only exercises will not do the trick if you really have legs that need to lose a lot. If it is only a little, yes I agree, than you can do it with only exercises. For the rest of us, we have to diet!

2. There are a few things you have to keep in mind when you choose a diet:

Remember, in how to lose fat legs, you are going to have to do exercise. This implies that you should not try and follow a diet that forbids exercise. This may sound strange to you, but there are fad diets out there that are so low in calories that it is actually dangerous to do exercise. These diets contains so little calories, there is only enough for vital body organs and none to exercise. Please do not follow these diets, however desperate you are. Stick to a good one and you will see results in the end.

3. Suitable exercises:

The exercises that are needed fall into three groups:

* Cardio training

* Resistance training (weights)

* Draining of lymph blockages

i) Cardio training:

This is actually very easy, anything that sends you heart rate up can be considered a cardio exercise. There are those that will do it faster than others, but it is more important that you enjoy it so you will be able to keep it up. Doing cardio exercises helps your body to burn fat and that includes your legs, of course!

Suitable exercises:

* Walking

* Running

* Cycling

* Rollerblading

* Any sports you enjoy

Look for ways you can easily add some of these activities to your daily routine. You have to make sure that you do at least 30 minutes a day. Try and send your heartbeat up to about 60% of it's maximum and you will burn more that when you press harder. This is very important to keep in mind. Killing yourself with the cardio is not going to speed things up; you may even lose valuable muscle.

ii) Resistance training:

Here you will be building muscle, and as muscle burns more energy than fat, it will speed things up a lot. Once again there are a lot of things you can easily do. Buy yourself a cheap set on ankle weights, and do some calf raises with them on. Change your walking to walking on an incline it you will be targeting the leg muscles at the same time you are doing your cardio.

iii) Draining of lymph blockages:

To drain all blockages and get thing flowing, the mini-trampoline is the best Jump on it for 2 minute bursts. The best is while watching television. An ad is normally about 2 minutes. Do this at intervals up to a total time of 20 minutes a day and you will not have to ask how to lose fat legs again.

But their very nature a womans legs are often one of the most seen parts of their bodies it can really be no suprise that they are also the area of the body most women do their best to hide when in their eyes they are 'not perfect'.So much so that women who believe they have fat legs will often avoid wearing short dresses and skirts in an attempt to hide them

Considering that a large proportion of women are genetically predisposed to having a higher proportion of fat in their legs and ankles, many women constantly try to reduce the fat that is located within their legs and ankles through exercise and diet often with minimal effect.

Unfortunately fat stored in the ankles and and legs is pretty hard to move by diet and exercise alone. This has led to a huge increase in the number of women who look to plastic surgeons for ankle liposuction and leg liposuction for the answer.

Have you thought about liposuction? It is a recognized procedure, tiny incisions are made around the ankle and the fat is extracted this way.Compression stockings would need to be worn for about 4-6 weeks after the procedure. Prices seem to start from about $4000, so its not cheap and should be seen as the last resort if dieting and other tips have not worked for you.

Like any surgical procedure it carries it's own risks and in addition fat located in the ankles especially and to a lesser extent the legs is relatively superfical as both the ankles and lower leg do not contain deep compartments for fat to accumulate.This means that this form of liposuction can be more tricky than in other areas of the body.

Whilst weight loss from the ankles and legs may be much harder than some other areas of the body I encourage you to try these methods first at least. If you find they have not worked and you can afford it and you accept the risks then and only then consider plastic surgery.

-Lower you dietary intake of sugars. Stop drinking regular and diet soda's and having sweet foods and sugar in your drinks and on your food. Use other natural sweetners such as honey as replacements.

-Keep your legs warm in winter by wearing thick tights or stockings or socks and even extreme climates leg warmers. This can be effective when you live in areas where cold winters and more common and reduces your chances of getting fat legs or ankles.

-Increase the amount of water you drink. This is also true of almost every part of your body you want to lose weight from. Water helps detox the body which removes free radicals this improves fat loss and reduces water retention.

-Eat a diet richer in protein than you do right now,whilst you should continue to eat a balanced diet try increasing your intake of protein foods as this helps the body retain less fat.

-Exercise, sit in a chair, put one leg straight out in front of you and move your foot in a circular motion. Do this one way then the other, do it at least 10 times in either direction, then of course, swap legs. This is an excellent exercise and even for people who lack mobility is very effective.

Finally -It maybe that your swollen ankles are due to fluid around the ankle. Feel the area just around the joint and press gently. If it feels 'fleshy' and you can move it, then see a Doctor who will more than likely supply you with a Diuretic, which is a substance that removes water from the body by promoting urine formation and the loss of salt (sodium).

I am totally confident that these tips should help you in some small way.However I strongly recommend you start a program of weight loss if at all concerned about having fat ankles or fat legs.
