Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, Judaism, Islam, all have books that are used as guide books for them. The Bible, the Tao, the Bhagavad Gita, The Tibetan Book of the Dead, the Torah, the Koran to name a few. They have one statement or concept that is the same for all. Different variations but the same meaning. “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you". Unfortunately that tenet sometimes gets lost in the many applications and interpretaions of these books.
Religion has had such a huge role in human history that to try to define it and source it is a daunting task. Each culture has variations of the answers to the “how’s and why’s" of existence, but really they all have a common thread. When you stand back and observe the practises and beliefs they all saying the same basic things, in my view.
The main tenet is that there is a God or supreme being outside ourselves that creates and controls all things in our lives. This gives us the comfort of not taking responsibility for anything that happens and puts it outside of us where we have no control. With a set of rules given to us from the holy books we can live our lives with the assurance that we will go to “heaven" when we die if we follow the rules.
“New Age" belief looks at things from a different perspective. Instead of following the leader the choice is to follow ones self. A belief that we are God also and have the power to create what we desire. How we choose to experience life is up to us, not set out in a rulebook or determined by any power outside of ourselves.
A controversial concept to say the least as it goes against the ingrained norms of our society. Is the next step in human evolution the shift from the mentality of following the leader? Doing things how they have been done in the past just because that’s how they been done? Or is it a totally new perspective of following yourself and taking full responsibilty for all events in your life? Are we beginning to examine our actions and questioning the reasons as to why we do things a certain way?
If we are truly changing to the perspective of personal responsibility, than the doctrine and dogma of religions is in jeopardy of going the way of the dinosaur. Is there signs of the waning popularity of following the rigid rules of the world’s religions? I see it. In Europe, where religion has always been such a huge part of daily life the attendance statistics are plummeting. Rejected by a generation of people who are questioning the validity and authority of the church.
I believe the key to the survival of religion is a complete overhaul of doctrine. The major change coming from the amount of tolerance they demonstrate for other religions. Understanding that there are different flavors of the “truth" and all can be respected and acknowledged as being valid. Not discounted or persecuted for their differences as has been the case in history.
Also, a change of the use of fear that religions have practised as a “control" mechanism for people. The fear that if they don’t follow the rulebook there will be grave consequences for them in their lives. Religion has and does use this tactic to keep their “flock" in the fold, asking them to give their personal power over to God and all will be well for them.
And lastly, a shift in how the religions describe our relationship to God. That we are lowly servants unable to think or create for ourselves. I believe if you really listen to the teachings of Jesus, he describes how are all like him and have the same attributes that he has but that is a topic for another time. There is room for all these changes in religion without changing the essence of the reason they were created in the first place.
Can we all worship together? Can we learn to not only tolerate but celebrate the differences that each religion has? I believe so. And I also believe that if there is no change, then world religions are destined to follow the path that leads to extinction.

What if his doctors had decided that he would not have been able to tolerate the news? How can we tolerate the news watered down for us by the mainstream media like CNN and Christiane Amanpour’s God’s Warriors? The world is careening towards the extinction of life on earth forever in nuclear world war 3 driven there by our world religions which explicitly forbid world peace and command and reward genocide with great rewards for mass murder in the world to come, but your mainstream media does not trust you to know this.
How do you solve a problem when you don’t know what the problem is? How do you solve a problem like Maria? Why does the mainstream media 6 years after 9/11 continue to hide the fact that both the Koran and Hadith clearly and explicitly command the genocide of every Christian, Jew and non Muslim on Earth for eternal paradise in Heaven with God of Mount Sinai, crystal clear streams, 72 virgins per martyr and believer, endless wine with no side effects and 80,000 servants per martyr and believer? Why does your mainstream media not trust you to know this? How does Luciano Pavorotti have surgery to remove a cancerous tumour on his pancreas when he doesn’t know that it’s there?
Is the mainstream media afraid to spill the beans on your world religions for fear of reprisal? Is your mainstream media owned by religious people who are covering up the hate speech inside of their Bibles? The Koran says, “Make War upon the Christians and the Jews. Do battle with them. Kill the infidels, the non Muslims wherever ye shall find them. Besiege them and lay wait for them with every kind of ambush. The believers shall be rewarded with eternal paradise in Heaven with God of Mount Sinai, crystal clear springs, trees clad with fruit, extended shade, flowing waters, 72 virgins and 80,000 servants. The non Muslims shall suffer pestilential winds and scalding water and live in a hot black smoke." (Koran, Sura, Chapter 9:5, 29-30, Chapter 56, and the Hadith).
Is the mainstream media afraid that if the Muslims knew what their religion commanded of them that they would immediately run out and slaughter all non Muslims? Is the mainstream media afraid that if the Christians knew what Islam was all about that the Christians would immediately run out and kill every Muslim? To hide the truth is like saying that only a small percentage of golfers with a wild interpretation of the rules of golf are penalized for hitting their ball into a water hazard. Islam forbids peace and commands genocide with great eternal rewards for mass murder and suicide bombing in this lifetime. 6 years after 9/11 this should be common knowledge in every grade one class.
The truth shall set you free if you know the truth and take action to correct the problem. Christianity began 2,000 years ago and since then has been spread by the sword in the Crusades, the 300 year inquisition, the pogroms and resulted in the Holocaust, “The War Against the Jews". The New Testament says that when Jesus Christ returns he will order the Christian people to throw all 4 billion non Christian men, women and children into the fire to burn alive because they are all devils. (Matthew 13:36-43). CNN and Christiane Amanpour in God’s Warriors spent two hours examining God’s Christian Warriors and never mentioned the countless passages in the Christian Bible commanding the slaughter of non believers. Instead they spent two hours discussing abortion and gay marriage.
3 years ago George Bush publicly announced a Crusade. The Crusades were 1,000 years ago when the Pope marched his Christian Army across Europe massacring every Jew in their way until they reclaimed the Holy Land and stood knee deep in Muslim blood. So far George Bush has conquered Muslim Afghanistan and Iraq, and is now poised to strike Iran with weapons of mass destruction. George Bush expects to be met in Jeruslaem and congratulated by Jesus Christ for conquering the world for Christianity and then raptured into eternal paradise with God of Mount Sinai because he read this in his Bible.
Psalm 2 of the Old Testament of Judaism describes how the Messiah will take a rod of iron and smash every non Jew like a potter’s clay vessel and conquer the world for the Jewish people. When Christianity adopted the Old Testament they changed it to the Messiah will kill all of the Heathens, the non Christians, and conquer the world for Christianity. This is called forgery. When Islam adopted the Old Testament they changed it to the messiah will kill every infidel non Muslim and conquer the world for Islam. This was a forgery of a forgery.

If they will not tell you the problem, then how can you expect them to show you the solution?
