"Remember, a real decision is measured by the fact that you've taken new action. If there's no action, you haven't truly decided." Anthony Robbins.
Here are some things you need to consider if you want to reach your property goals:
- What have you done this week to reach your property goals? - Do you have goals for your property venture? If you do not have any goals, why haven't you made them yet?
Why have you not bought your first investment property yet? Or, if you have bought property why haven't you come up with a plan for buying more? You will need to have goals in order to determine if you are progressing and making the right choices in your business.
To be successful at property investing or developing you need to start off with a plan and a vision.
Everyone has goals whether they voice them or not. Some of them we speak out loud and talk about with others, while some of them are in the back of our mind waiting to be realised.
If you keep your goals in the back of your mind where they are unknown they will probably never be achieved. You will have to bring them out into the light of day and let yourself see them constantly. Write them down on a piece of paper and take a look at them. You need to cement them in your waking thoughts for them to become a reality.
"The World is changing very fast. Big will not beat small anymore. It will be the fast beating the slow." Rupert Murdoch.
You need to determine if you are one of the fast ones or one of the slow ones. Do others around you reach their goals and pass you at every turn? Why is this happening to you? What are you going to do to make this different? What can you do today? How about right now? What can you do at this very moment to drive you towards your goals?
This does not mean that you should jump into the market in a rush and set about buying your first property. What this means is that you have to be thinking about today. You have to be making decisions and taking actions right now that will take you closer to your plans and property goals. What action can you take right now?
The action that you take right now could be a simple thought that you are going to check out at least five properties every week. It could be a decision to find out what happened with your credit that caused you to be denied on your first mortgage attempt. Your decision is the focus of your goals. Don't leave here now until you have made a decision about your goals.
The reason that many people don't attain their dreams and ambitions is because they fear making mistakes. Many people have the ability and skills to reach their dreams easily, they are just held back by fear. Nothing will be perfect and they must realise that. You cannot allow yourself to give up at the first sign of failure. It is just a reason to try harder.
Does this sound like you? Are you someone who is so afraid of failure that they are afraid to even try? Do you fail to take an action because of your fear of failure?
There is a trick to failing. Make sure that you fail small. Don't invest all of your money in one property and expect that it will be the key to your success. There are some people that succeed by starting off their property investing career in this way, but many more do not.
If you are going to be a success you are going to have to take a risk. If you fail, you can use that as an opportunity to learn something. Don't let one failure push your goals and dreams aside.
You should always be striving to improve your skills and increase your education. Learn about the market and the opportunities that exist and get the best profits you can.
What can you do right now that will bring you closer to your goals? If you are unable to make the decisions right now to bring yourself closer to your plans and ambitions will you ever? Will you be one of the ones that sit on the sidelines and let everyone pass them by or will you be one of the ones that get in there and make a decision?
What is your goal for one year or two or five? What are you doing right now to get you to where you want to be? If your current actions are not bringing you closer to your goals you will need to take the time to reassess and come up with new actions.
Setting goals in your property business is key to your success. If you haven't already done it, then take time out now, to think about your future and set your goals accordingly.
Happiness is something we all want. Good times with friends, and close relationships are the things that make us feel complete as people. But in these present times there are many distractions that leave us feeling overwhelmed and that we don't have full control in our life's situation. It seems that we are always having to trade one priority for another to accomplish our daily tasks.
When we feel like this, our relationships can suffer. If you want to bring more happiness into your life, stop looking for it externally. You have to start within by learning to feel better about yourself.
You need to learn to develop a positive mental attitude. Stop talking to yourself internally in a negative fashion. Come to accept that your thoughts really do determine what you'll become.
The modern world is full of distractions that can easily deflect you from the path that leads to success and happiness for you. It's all too easy to get into a negative mind-set and believe that you aren't good enough and that you could never achieve what you want to achieve.
Your brain, if it's like that of the majority of humanity has been the recipient of far more negative self-talk than positive. And this negative becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy and explains why you are much more likely to fail than succeed.
To change the outcome of our situation we must "reprogram" our minds at the subconscious level with thoughts of a positive nature. Then when distractions and negative input comes along from other people, you have to learn to immediately discard them.
You have to learn to catch yourself when your thinking veers into negative channels and consciously turn it onto a more positive track.
Here are 5 tips to developing a positive mental attitude:
1. Learn to visualize a positive outcome for what it is you wish to achieve. Visualization is something that a lot of people have a problem with but if you stick at it daily you will achieve results.
2. Repetition is the key to success with visualization. Develop a routine of doing it several times a day. Your subconscious is uncritical so the key is to present it with thoughts that you've already achieved what you're trying to achieve. Then it will do all in its considerable power to to bring to your external reality what you've visualized internally.
3. Write down your goals. This will make them more solid for you and give you something to use to reinforce them when you need to remind yourself of what they are. Make it a habit to read them over immediately before going to sleep to give your subconscious something to work on during the night.
4. You need to remember that your subconscious just blindly accepts everything you give it so it's just commonsense to give it the positive outcomes you desire.
5. Build your happiness by sharing your successes with others. It is very true that when you give something positive to others that your own positive self esteem grows. By thinking positive and sharing those positive thoughts and feelings your life will grow stronger in that direction.
Develop the belief with every fibre of your being that you are the master of your own destiny. If your life path is not heading in the direction you want it to just change it - yes it really is as simple as that in essence.
Try to see the positive in every life situation. Happiness really is a state of mind and now that you know it is simply your choice to be happy or sad - which are you going to choose? You genuinely do have the power to control your thoughts - and your thoughts control your destiny. Promise yourself that today really is the beginning of the rest of your life. Live it positively.
