[H870]How To Block Pop Up Ads
by Ronald Kang, Ron
Making a pop-up ads is easy, you can ask any programmers to make the script for you. But, create a pop-up that persuade users to fill-in their email address is not easy. Some people feels really disturbed to see a pop-up ad come out when they open your website. But, if you know the rules to persuade users to fill-in their email address, pop-ups ad will boost your list building process extremely.

1. Give Them a Reason To Fill In
To make sure that your users fill in their email address, offer them something in return. Give them free reports, e-books, or anything else that valued enough to convince them to get it. Just make sure it's relevant with your product. Try to find something free to be given as a bonus, and if you're going to pay, make sure it pays overall.

2. Write a Real Title
The title tag isn't going to affect your search engine listings. But it's very important to convince users to take the ads seriously. If you leave it out, or worse, write something like "mypopup", no one's going to take you seriously. Be professional and you'll achieve professional results.

3. Use a Hard-Hitting Headline
This is very important and it's decide whether the users will read your ads or not. You have two seconds to grab a reader's attention and make them read. Focus on the benefits. Tell the people what's the benefits to join your list. Benefits are differents with the features. Benefits is not what you will give, but what they will get.

4. Keep It Slim
Don't make the users wait to long to see the pop-up comes. If your users have to wait more than a few seconds for the pop-up to download, the chances are they'll close the window before it's finished. Use minimal graphics and make sure everything's optimized before you put it on the server.

5. Make It Looks Professional
Use cool colors and attractive fonts, make sure the pop-up looks professional. It must be easy to read, and must be good on the eye. Balance and simplicity are key when it comes to pop-up design.

6. Offer a Close Button
Don't push them to opt-in to your list if they don't want to. If they don't want to opt-in and you didn't offer a close button, they might go away from your website and you'll lose a customer. Let them close the pop-up ad and they might buy something.
