Which reminds me of a quote from a prominent business philosopher; it goes something like this, “… Eating an apple a day may keep the doctor away, but trying to eat 7 apples on Saturday just isn't going to work ….”
Although that piece of business philosophy is correct for most business situations, at least correcting a websites structure by adding some more keywords is a way to get the piston fixed and your website back ready for the road.
So how would you do this? Would you go to a scrap yard, find any old piston and hope it works? No… Of course not! You would need to have a good plan of action, which would include proper replacements parts and time and patience.
That said … and many would agree … that searching for the appropriate keywords is a boring and tedious task, which maybe the correct analysis but nonetheless it is an important task. From my own understanding on how people plan this into their day; is… to leave it until the end.
I don't know about you but at the end of the day I suffer from lethargy. Such an emotion is not a good one to tackle the heart of your business. It maybe wise to allocate time when you are at your sharpest, rather than when you are at your most ineffective.
Once you start to explore the world of keywords you'll find that you have several main keywords that eventually develop into 20 or 30 more. In an ideal word it is wise to use one keyword for each web page; this gives your web page an edge over other challenging web pages.
Your chosen website and profession can often instantly deliver 10 keywords, but really you'll need 100 main keywords to develop further keyword phrases from that source. There are many free tools on the internet that extend from your keyword base. Google has its own free tool which is very useful.
As a consequence of this free tool I noticed certain areas of inspiration developing. Each subsequent campaign I had to improve my website I would return to this keyword tool and explore my ‘keyword base'… The time and effort however was more than I really wanted to dedicate for just exploration. So over a period of time I compiled a list for my own benefit.
This list grew and today that list is 2,500 – all keywords within that list have over a million page views a month. That very fact confirms that each keyword upon that list is a very important keyword base to work from. Should you be considering a new niche and want to know of its potential this list makes interesting reading. The word ‘cars' comes before ‘sex'; and ‘shoes' come before ‘youtube'.
These keywords are what Google say are being searched for every month using their Google Search Box. This means that each and every keyword upon this list has potential to base a website or a series of web pages about. The main keywords are a niche; perhaps a niche that many are following, but the key to this whole scenario is to develop a sub-niche from these main keywords.
If you picked a keyword at random and decided to build a website theme around it, little research has taken place and your website could be a hit or a miss, with the emphasis on miss.
This list can give both inspiration and motivation to pursue a sub-niche, or develop your existing site further. I hope you find it useful… Please visit my site for further details:
