[H749]How Do I Stop Snoring
by John Spencer, Joh
When someone told me that my snoring was out of control and causing him to lose sleep, I immediately started asking people how do I stop snoring? I got a ton of different answers to the question, and I swear it seemed as though I tried them all twice. From drinking herbal teas and warm milk before bed to sleeping in every possible position imaginable, there was nothing that I didn't give an honest chance. Still, I was plagued by my snoring problem. My husband was tired and irritated during the day, and I was constantly waking up with a sore throat. Since the old wives' tales had done me no good, I decided to turn to the internet.

A quick Google of "how do I stop snoring" brought up almost two million pages related to the topic. I figured out of two million, one of them had to work for me. I started sifting through all of the useless pages until I found ones that had remedies that I had not yet tried. It turns out, milk before bed can contribute to snoring, not cure it! The milk causes excess mucus in the throat, which can vibrate as you breathe in. This vibration is what causes that God awful snoring sound I was trying to avoid. Eventually, I stumbled across some snoring remedies that I hadn't yet tried.

The first thing I did was go out and buy a box of breathing strips. I looked and felt like an idiot while wearing them across the bridge of my nose, but they definitely helped the snoring. I was still doing it, but it was much softer than before. I eventually ponied up $50 for a stop snoring pillow, and that was money well spent. Between the pillow and the breathing strips, I had my answer to the question "how do I stop snoring".

How Not To Use The Pillow

Just to set the picture straight, even though pillows are a wonderful way of stopping you or a loved one from snore it is not meant to be shoved into the wide of the snores mouth so that they stop snoring. This method of pillow use is undeniable affective in shutting off the noise, nevertheless it also reduces the life expectancy of the snorer. And even though you will want to use the pillow to smother the person snoring, keep in mind that you can by no means get a good night's sleep in jail.

Visit Your Doctor

If it gets to the stage that you are aware that someone in your home was contemplating using a pillow as a stop snoring device then a visit to your doctor is worth wild. Even if you live alone the chances are that you would know that you snore on the basis that you constantly have a lousy nights sleep as you're snoring would often wake you up. A visit to the doctor is also worth wild so that you can check there isn't any enlargement of anatomical malformation causing the snoring.

Proper Pillow Use

The experts suggest that your head requires being at the most four inches above the mattress therefore you need to sit up a bit in order to help your body not take up the snoring pose. If you find yourself sliding off of your stacked pillow pile, you need to get a particular pillow sold as either a stop snoring device or for acid reflux. These are obtainable over the counter in most department stores and chemists.

There is also a kind of stop snoring device called a Sandler pillow. This is a pillow that makes you sleep on your side as it makes it so uncomfortable for you to lie on your back.

In addition you can try not using any pillows at all to see if there's any development. People are different, and causes of blocking their air passages to generate snoring sounds can also differ. Anticipate to not sleeping well for a few nights as your body gets used to the new position.
