According to a Kelton Research study, perfect, white teeth have a direct impact on social and professional interactions. A survey of more than 1,000 people found that a healthy looking smile substantially shape people's first impression of potential spouses and employees. The three-part study, which included simulated job interviews, suggested that more than half of the participants (58 percent) were more likely to be hired after their teeth had been whitened. The study also concluded that evaluators expressed greater interest in people with whiter teeth. Apparently, people with healthier looking teeth seem to exude more professionalism and confidence. People with whiter teeth were also perceived as more outgoing. White beautiful teeth also convey trustworthiness and professional success. Appearance matters according to the survey. About 68 percent of people surveyed gauge a person's professional success and failure by his/her appearance. People with healthy looking teeth were considered more successful, regardless of actual income, education or employment status. Also more than half of participants said they determine people's trustworthiness by their smile. No wonder Hollywood ing?nue Hilary Duff got porcelain veneers to cover four chipped front teeth.
