When you have employees who work hard for you and serve you loyally, you want to keep them coming back to work with you every day instead of hitting the paper to see if there are any better offers. Keeping good employees means treating them well, and more than that, rewarding them for their hard work and showing them appreciation for the same. This means raises and promotions, kind words of thanks and appreciation, and corporate gifts to celebrate their milestones and to help them feel your thankfulness for them.

There are many ways in which employees can show you their worth, and many ways in which you can reward them for their hard work with you and for proving their worth by performing well. Simply retaining an employee is one way of telling them that they are valued, since those who do not earn your regard are often either let go or driven to quit long before they have really settled in. Celebrate your faithful employees and those who have done good work for you over a period of time by celebrating their anniversaries with them.

When employees reach a five year anniversary with your company, it is time to recognize them in front of their peers as especially valuable members of the team.
