Humor In Drag
by Jim Brown, Jim
Before the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina kept people away, many people used to visit New Orleans, Louisiana to see humor in drag offered in many entertainment spots that were located in the French Quarter. There are various entertainers that work from the French Quarter and they perform regularly on stage with various routines that are both entertaining and comical.

The humor in drag concept developed because these entertainers are trans-gendered individuals who have chosen to take the route of humor in their acts to express the sad comedy of the life that they have been forced to live. Many vacationers live in quiet towns and have never been exposed to people that were born with two genders in one body. They love to view the humor in drag because it squelches some of the questions that they have had for years.

Some people that entertain as a humor in drag candidate have chosen to cross dress just to be considered different from other performers on Bourbon Street. They might simply enjoy dressing as a woman on certain days of the week but they never have any notion about using the humor in drag routines to allow them to change their sex. Some of these entertainers are married and have children but find it financially beneficial to perform once or twice a week dressed quite differently.

The humor in drag concept in certain cross-dressers is more evident in public, because they have only spent money on buying new gowns that glitter to present a better image on stage. Some may invest small amounts of money to reduce facial hair. The trans-gender people are using their humor in drag routines for a totally different purpose.

They dutifully perform their humor in drag routines and try to be the best female entertainers on Bourbon Street, but their humor in drag routines are centered on saving money for an operation that will change their sex and allow them to live the life of the woman that they always knew they were deep inside. These people are true performers with a really entertaining show.

Some of the humor in drag might center on the slapstick comedy skits that are performed on stage, and other performers might wow the crowds with the exquisitely sized bust lines that were surgically enhanced to a very robust size. The size of the breast is very comical when people literally poke fun at them in front of a room of people and many vacationers have plenty of stories to tell when they return back home to their families after a week in New Orleans.
