It is always advisable to bring along a friend or be with other people when going to parties and bashes in order for you to be able to look out for each other. Most parties would actually mean drinking. You have to know your limit or better yet set them. You have to be aware of how many drinks can get you tipsy and can get you drunk. You also have to watch your drinks. You may never know that certain people who have bad intentions especially on women may slip certain drugs or medication causing many cases of date rapes. It is best that you avoid accepting drinks from strangers and people you don't know or trust.

It is also best not to take drugs. Whether you are trying them out of curiosity for the first time or have used them before, it is best to steer clear from them. You not only risk getting arrested, you are also making yourself more vulnerable to dangerous situations with the risk of also being able to hurt other people if you get violent.

Most especially for the women, it is important to set sexual limits and to how far they will say yes. They have to be able to defend as well as protect themselves from men's advances.
