The point is that right now, more then ever, more and more of these ezine owner realize they can make more cash advertising with their own affiliate links rather then let someone pay them to advertise. So you need to know a couple of things before taking this route.

One of the things you need to consider is you want to only publish your message in responsive ezines. This presents the first problem as most of the good ones are or very expensive, or wont accept any other ads as their own.

This presents another problem. A lot of the lists are sent through emails, in standard email format. Not much gimmicks. And usually they only have ads that they profit from. Simply because it makes them more money.

Oh yeah, sure there are great ezines you can pay to get ads published. But usually these have small readership since they just started to grow. And they begin with hardcore, old-school ezines with articles, resources and ads inside.

If you do find an ezine with lots of buyers, it's hard to get your ad published. Sad but true.

That doesn't mean you can't get an ad in. You need to be creative. Contact the ezine owner, ask them to sign up for your affiliate program and offer them higher commissions, e.g. 75% instead of 50%. Make them feel special.

Always read de list you want to publish your ad in, before publishing. Make sure they actually provide good content to their readers.

Don't be shy to ask for figures either. Ask for proof of their claims like open rates, etc. In this way you can back yourself up and be sure that you aren't advertising in some crappy newsletter.

Never be satisfied with cheap bottom sponsor or classified ads. Try to always get those top sponsor or solo ads for best results.

Last thing I'd like to add to all this is that the very best ezines also sell their ads through online networks. These will give you real bang for your buck as they'll make sure to send your ad to a bunch of very high quality lists.
