Johann Gutenberg was born in the German city of Mainz in the year 1400. Gutenberg worked as a goldsmith and gem cutter as a young man and had learned about metallurgy. He is considered the inventor of the movable type printing in Europe. The first type was cast our of metals that included lead, antimony, and tin, and consisted of two-hundred and ninety separate symbols. Gutenberg also had to find an ink that would not fade. He later produced ink out of boiled linseed oil and soot. Gutenberg adapted a wine press for printing that was waist-high and had a rolling tray so that he could slide the paper in and out. The press would also enable him to squeeze water out of the damp paper while printing at the same time. Gutenberg's invention sparked many religious revolutions that allowed the common man to posses a Bible for his own interpretation. Gutenberg's invention of the printing press allowed knowledge and ideas to be passed from one man to the other and paved the way for schools and media.

Samuel Finley Breeze Morse was born in Charlestown, Massachusetts on the 27th of April in 1791. Morse was a professional artist. He was educated at Phillips's Academy at Andover. He graduated from Yale University in 1810 and lived in England. His artworks were exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1813. He has a particular interest in portraiture. He returned to America in 1832 after being appointed as Professor of Painting and Sculpture at the University of the City of New York. On his way to his motherland, he overheard a shipboard discussion on electromagnets, which eventually led to his invention of the telegraph. Morse made it his life's work to invent an efficient and fast messaging system.

Because of the inventions of these two masters, we are now experiencing a quicker form of mass communication. Mass communication refers to the distribution of entertainment, art, information, and messages by television, radio, newspapers, magazines, movies, recorded music, associated media, and now --- the Internet.
Furthermore, communication is a process which has evolved over time from the traditional medium. It is evident today that communication and the way we communicate has changed drastically with the advent of the Internet especially in the corporate setting. The pace of business has increased drastically in the past couple of decades. What used to take weeks to finish can now be completed in days or even hours. One such example of a the latest technology in communication that can enable a faster turnaround is Internet faxing. Internet faxing is a simple solution that does not need much of a great knowledge or change in habits. Internet faxing functions where documents are sent and received via e-mail or a secure server over a standard Internet connection rather than through conventional phone lines. Probably the most significant impact of Internet faxing has been on the ability of busy employees to save time and manage important documents better.
Gutenberg and Morse inventions proved to us that there are possible and easy ways to transfer information. With their inventions, it paved the way to even greater and creative tools for easy communication.
