Start training other salespeople on what you do. If your sales trainees are successful, that means you are ready for this next step in your life.

Having sold a lot of services and products over a signifcant amount of time, you would do better to train others instead of continuing to be a one person show.

And naturally, you would not want to even consider training other people for a sales career, if you have not developed a respectible sales career yourself. Your trainees would not respect your nor learn very much from you anyway.

However, if you have proven you are good at sales, you do not need to continue to be a salesperson forever. By training others with credibility from your history you can multiply yourself many times over.

Please remember it is urgent that you always continue to improve yourself as a sales manager, to always look for the best methods for your salespeople to use, and to make sure they have the best tools you can dream up.

After all, you really are still in sales, and you must continue to improve yourself, because now your sales is selling your salespeople on how to sell.
