[V14]Vacation Rentals In Destin
by Ray Lam, Ray
Going to Florida is like entering into a land of guaranteed good times and positive vibes, but when it comes to specifics, everyone will end up having their own special experiences. The ample choices and consistent natural beauty (not to mention the shopping, the golf, the hundreds of inviting vacation rentals) all add up to something definitely wonderful yet capable of being tailored to each individual taste, so get ready to have a ball no matter what it is you end up deciding to do during your stay on this enchanted peninsula.

The beach has always been a great attraction for children and adults. The Florida beaches, the inviting water, and the extraordinary entertainment choices that are offered for young and old, make this place a hot favorite of many. It is a dream destination for any family, especially those with children. Destin vacation rentals will offer the right combination of beach comfort and housing at the same time.

Staying in a vacation rental on the beach certainly has its perks, particularly if you are traveling with children. Rather than awkwardly carrying your day's supplies out of your hotel room and dragging them to the beach, you can make a couple of convenient trips to your vacation rental since the beach is just steps out the back door. If you simply need to relax out of the sun for a little bit, everyone in your family can continue to enjoy a safe day at the beach since you can keep on eye on everyone as you recline on one of the lounge chairs overlooking the water. After a long day in the water and running through the sand, wash off the kids at the convenient outdoor shower so you don't have to worry about making a mess throughout the house.

While spending time near the water is a great way to experience the beauty of Destin, there are bound to be times when the fresh air pushes you to sleep in the middle of the day. Although your children would probably prefer to play outside every second of the day, this is not always possible so you will need a way to keep them entertained as you rest in your lodging. In vacation rentals, you can find homes that have numerous entertainment options, including DVD players, HDTV, and wireless internet. When you want to lie on the sofa and read a book in peace, all you need to do is pop in a movie or connect your laptop to the internet for vacation relaxation.

Destin vacation rentals have many perks. Well-equipped kitchens fit for frying eggs in the morning or just keeping snacks on hand, big closets that will keep your Hawaiian print shirts nice and wrinkle-free, a game room that will promote family togetherness, and even a whirlpool tub that will ease your muscles and ensure a good night's sleep will all be part of your experience should you choose to settle into a home away from home. The panhandle is filled with options, and Destin is not only representative of all of them, but ripe for the picking.

In addition to these extras, your Destin vacation rental is also fully-stocked with all the amenities and comforts of home. Enjoy a fully-equipped kitchen, plenty of bedrooms, numerous TVs and DVD players, a washer and dryer, and a large patio where you can sit back at the end of the day and watch the breathtaking sunset. Rather than staying in a sterile and unwelcoming hotel room that you try to avoid at all costs, choose an accommodating home away from home that serves as the perfect jumping off point to an exciting and enjoyable day.

Destin is a small city located on the Emerald Coast of Florida. It is known as "The World's Luckiest Fishing Village" and boasts the biggest fleet of fishing boats in the state. Whether this is true or not is up for discussion, but that won't keep Destin from making the claim. It is well known for its gorgeous water and beaches, and attracts more than 75% of the 4.5 million Emerald Coast guests every year. It's no wonder Destin vacation rentals are in such high demand right now.

Destin is located on a peninsula that separates the Gulf of Mexico from Choctawhatchee Bay and was at one time an island. Hurricanes and other weather patterns have gradually connected the island to the mainland of Florida and created the bay.

Archeologists propose that humans occupied the area that is now Destin more than 10,000 years ago. There are still signs of the early population who were apparently quite skillful at agriculture and farming. Around 1845, a fishing boat captain named Captain Leonard Destin settled in the area, and his family maintained their homestead there for many decades to follow. It has experienced a great swell in tourist activity for the last 25 years or so.

Due in part to the absolutely magnificent beaches and emerald-colored water, Destin vacation rentals are thriving right now, and the city is growing to provide accommodation for it. It has the Big Kahuna's water park, Destin Commons open-air mall, a Hard Rock Cafe, and numerous other attractions.

The first condominiums were built in Destin in the 1970s, and once construction nstarted, it has never really taken a break. There are more Destin vacation rentals popping up every day. Reportedly, the city's population grows from 12,000 to 40,000 during the tourist time of year.

The median income for a household in the city was $53,042, and the median income for a family was $60,498. As of 2004, the population recorded by the U.S. Census Bureau is 12,162.

Destin vacation rentals are an unbelievable way to spend some time away during the summer, and you shouldn't pass up the chance if it presents itself.
