One way to welcome the upcoming baby is to plan a baby shower party. This is the occasion where there is a celebration for the coming child and the expectant mom. It is always a perfect idea to decide a theme that can help make the party more memorable, that those sweet memories linger in everybody's mind and soul for years.

Once the decision for the theme is done, it will further help in decisioning the location, the number of guests to be invited and the thematic decorations needed for the entire occasion. Of course, you want to ask the parents-to-be for their suggestions, who are those people they would love to see in the party? Will they be comfortable of having a crowd at the party? Also, you don't want to forget the availability of the budget. Too many guests means a huge expenditure. The budget, the number of guests, the time of the shower and the theme will tell what food to serve.

To make the party more fun and exciting, of course you should plan several games to play. The games may include baby food games or naming the baby games. This way the party will last for couple of hours with so much fun and laughter.

Lastly, shower gifts and shower favors are also needed for these parties. One major purpose of the baby shower is to shower the mom and her baby with lots of gifts they will need in their new lives.
