Technology has enabled former office rats to do their work at home. Armed with a computer, fax and telephone, employees from back office data entry to management staff are able to perform part or all of their jobs at home. The telecommuting option is appreciated by workers as it allows them more freedom and control over their day work and more time to spend with families. Companies find that this set up often improves employee morale and productivity.
NetWork
To Make money via the Internet has become an increasingly popular option in the work at home industry. Chances are you know someone who sells merchandise on eBay. Many online merchants are working out of their homes. The Internet offers a wealth of opportunities for writers to earn a living from their home. People with an Internet based career often start on a part time basis while working their regular office gig. Once their "web job" takes off, they escape the office grind for full time work at home.
Home Base
Another option in the work at home industry is a home-based business where you go out in the field to provide services for customers. This is a wide open opportunity. Think of any product or service that people need and viola, you have a business. The senior population is exploding. Start an elder service that helps seniors with light housekeeping, grooming and transportation. Two career families and busy folks in general equal a business for you running errands such as shopping, chauffeuring kids and picking up dry cleaning.
You can strike out on your own with these home based businesses or buy a franchise. Franchises offer a brand name people know and trust along with marketing support from the headquarters office. Start up costs can be out of reach for a lot of people, however, there are hundreds of franchise options in the work at home industry that will fit with small budgets.
Scam Alert
The Internet and print and broadcast media are full of ads for great sounding work at home opportunities. Sadly, this industry is full of scam companies that advertise high income home based jobs. Some ads are specific while others are vague and keep you in the dark about the exact nature of the pie in the sky venture.
Remember, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Do your research before you plunge into any work at home opportunity. Talk with others who are working from their homes. Check out franchises or Internet opportunities with the Better Business Bureau. Despite the scam artists, there are thousands of options in the work at home industry and one of them will suit you.
These are some of the easiest and quickest ways to make money online, most of which are the ones I started out with. There will be no survey sites because those are a waste of everyones time, there will be no paid to read sites because those are a waste of time as well. However you will find some affiliate, freelance, and blog/affiliate processes. These have been proven to work, and not just by me, but by many others. Once again (as if I even have to say it) you wont become rich by doing these proceeses unless you find the "golden key". But they will give you enough money to live, or to live modestly, I know because I am living modestly from them!
Domain Parking - I did this a few years back when Arbitrage was permitted, but even though arb isn't allowed any longer, individuals are still creating good money income from these programs. Try places like Sedo, Fabulous and Parked (very highly rated). Since arb isn't allowed any longer it's a good idea to make your domain a parking page if you receive a lot of natural or organic traffic. The steps are very easy. Find a parking program. Sign up. Point your DNS on your registrar from the domain you want to use to the domain parking DNS, set up the colors, templates, themes, keywords, etc. Traffic will get sent to the parking site and YOU will get a share of the profit made from your web site. Take a look at sites that offer 80% or more.
Freelancing - Many individuals online offer some sort of a service or have a specialty they are good at. These people can sell their services online in places such as websites, forums, even by putting an e-mail sig in their email program. In my own experience service forums or forums that allow service providers or have a marketplace which will allow you to make a thread with your shpeel and allow people contact you either through the thread or through PM are the best. This is probably my most winning way of marketing my service, so I seriously suggest you check it out!
CPA Programs - CPA is sometimes referred to as "Cost Per Action", which has to do with the fact that most CPA offers by advertisers are about getting something (typically new customers by making sales). You can normally place CPA codes on your site, which will let you "sell" things from your site. When individuals sign up or buy the item, you will be given a certain percentage from the initial sale. Say you are advertising an e-book on your website and someone clicks the advert and goes to the site, they will buy the e-book for $150 and then you receive 35% of the sale, which means you made $52.50 for just that one sale! These offers add up rather nicely especially if you get in with a CPA program that has high rates.
Ebay & Affiliate Storefronts - As far as shopfronts go, I actually like Amazon merely because they offer many diverse products on the website. For example, I have a website, so I can go to Amazon and pick out different affiliates that I know that I will be utilizing at my joke site. Affiliates that offer such things as gag gifts, gag gifts, funny gifts, etc. Once I find the affiliates to use I won't only set the affiliate links, but I can also set up affiliate websites. Then, I can either "sneak" in the affiliate links onto my blog, or I can also include the actual mini stores on my blog. This is good because people can visually see what I offer on my site.
Of course like I said above, there are a ton more ways to make money online, but really, if I listed every single way I may as well just write an e-book and sell it (which is another way you can earn residual income for yoursefl)!
