[U152]Used Hyundai Santa Fe
by Sarah Mcbride, Sar
Hyundai's all-new Santa Fe SUV is now getting some of the steam in the auto industry. Said model was previously launched as a compact in the year 2000. However, it was later redesigned by the manufacturer to compete with other makes and models. It comes in 3 distinct trim levels - GLS, SE, and the fancy Limited.

Santa Fe was also given refined feel and comfort that made it big as a hot-selling vehicle. Aside from that, Santa Fe is designed to be spacious to augment the hauling capacity of the vehicle. It measures 184 inches in length, a bit longer than its ancestor. It was also made wider and taller. Its Touring Package also offers extra row of seats to make Santa Fe a 7-passenger SUV.

According to critics, the new version of Santa Fe is given a dash of sophistication to give it a catchier totality. In fact, it features cleaner lines, sharper front ends, power windows, cruise control, mirrors and doors, electronic stability, antilock brakes, front and side airbags and sloped grill. Various enthusiasts who tested the car are giving it an excellent rating. They say that the vehicle is relatively tight, the gaps are uniformed and the fit and finish are superb.

The worthy rivals of Santa Fe include Honda Pilot and Toyota Highlander. Toyota parts incorporated in Highlander, Pilot and RAV4 are displaying their might in competing with Santa Fe. On one hand, Santa Fe boasts its body structure. Compared to Highlander, Santa Fe has 59% more rigidity.

Other competitors for the segment include Honda CR-V, Jeep Liberty and Compass, Ford Escape and Chevy Equinox. These cars exude excellence yet Santa Fe stacks up soundly against the rivalry. This is especially true to the demographics that prefer fuel-saving vehicles. Moreover, Santa Fe can be prominent as one of the finest alternative.

In the sales report of Hyundai for the month of August, Santa Fe made a 25% increase over the same month in the previous year. September sales report, on the other hand, is not available yet.

Situated in an area known as Vega del Genil, which translates at the plains of the River Genil, Granada airport is just 16 km to the west of the city and has just recently become a major international destination. Known also as the Santa Fe airport, because of it's vicinity to the town of Santa Fe, Granada airport is situated by the A92 Seville highway.

The airport has just one runway, 2,900 meters long, and an apron large enough to stand 25 aircraft. Of these 25, only 11 are commercial planes. Despite the fact that this airport has been in use since 1972, it has mostly been used for just internal flights, to Madrid and Barcelona. In recent years it has opened its doors to a few of the European low price airlines. It has in the last couple of years service approximately three quarters of a million travelers per year.

Although the current form of the airport has only been in operation since 1972, there has been a much longer tradition of aviation at its Santa Fe location. The first flight recorded here was to celebrate Corpus Cristi, and that was in 1911. 14 years later, the town hall provided the land on which a permanent facility was built; this was called Aerodromo Davila after Luis Davila Ponce de Leon from here the first scheduled flight left to Seville.

Travel to and from the airport is possible by several means. Autocares Gonzalez provide transfers to the city, with one leaving after each international flight. The journey takes around half an hour and costs 3 euros. For the same price there are buses which will take you to the centre of the city too, but with a slightly longer estimated travel time of 45 minutes.

Buses from the city depart from the Palacio de Congresos every hour or so with the first being at 5.30 a.m. and the last at 8.45 p.m. If you would prefer a taxi, there are plenty that you can just pick up at the airport. The cost of a taxi to the centre of the city should be around 17 Euros.

For a shorter stay or transfer, there are some wonderful hotels in the vicinity of Granada airport and very reasonably priced. For example, a state of the art modern hotel just 4 km from the airport will cost your around 70 Euros per night. However, as the airport of Granada is so close to the city, if you have even a few hours to spare it is recommended to take a hotel in the city. There is a good choice of one to four star hotels in the city, with fewer five star to choose from, but the standards of the four stars are good enough, and with prices ranging between 70 and 100 euros per night including breakfast, they are worth the extra few minutes in the taxi to get there.
