Video downloads are now available legally from all sorts of big movie studios and even television networks, as well. A video collection created digitally has a number of advantages over regular disk purchases, too. The biggest perks of video downloads involve the storage issues and pricing.
But, why?

It's pretty simple to create folders on the computer to store movies by genre and it's a whole lot quicker, too.
Video downloads are becoming the favorites of many for a reason beyond storage or pricing. This reason is variety. The fact is the kinds of downloads available can be literally mind boggling. Let's look at what kinds of video downloads can be found legally:
Hit movies Just about every new movie that hits the theaters will end up in a legal download format shortly after release. This means there's no need to run to the video store, or worse, pay top dollar at a theater to see a new release.

Original works There are tons of locations to get video downloads from amateur or little known creators. These videos might not have the financial backing of some of the major movies in history, but that doesn't mean there isn't some good entertainment out there. Indie works are getting a whole new audience thanks to video downloads and the Internet.
Video downloads provide their users with an on demand aspect, price savings and storage issue reduction that regular DVD buys cannot. As this new format becomes more and more accepted, it's becoming the method of choice for buying and watching movies.
Basically, there are two components that work hand in hand in utilizing P2P networks for iPod video downloads. You would need a P2P search tool or client application and a P2P network. There are practically dozens of P2P networks and client applications to choose from. It is good to exercise some prudence when picking the right network and software to use. So what are the things you should look out for?
1. Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Client Application
User interface of the P2P client application must be easy to navigate but yet packed with powerful features. Check out to ensure that they are compatible with the major P2P networks. Most of these applications are paid software.
There is one aspect you have to be careful with. Some client applications are also malware, or malicious software designed to infiltrate our PC database. Malware mostly consist of adware and spyware to advertise their sponsor products and services or to collect personal data. We obviously do not want our privacy to be infringed upon so pay extra attention to the type of P2P client applications we use.
Persistent adware and spyware can be hard to remove and may cause you to lose important data or damage your file registry. You would not want to waste time and money buying anti-adware or spyware protection software or reformat your hard drive.
To be fair, users have been using several better P2P client applications for iPod video downloads without the problems mentioned.
