[W991]Work From Home Review
by Aurelia Williams, Aur

Juggling children and work can be a challenge, whether you work outside the home or you are a work from home mom, but, in some ways, work from home moms face more challenges than moms who work outside the home. After all, when you're in a traditional office, you don't need to worry that a coworker will burst into the room and scream “Mommy, he took my doll,” just as you are beginning an important conference call.

So how does a work from home mom manage to keep her children happy and busy while she is trying to get her job done?

First, you need to let your children know when you are not to be disturbed. Set up a schedule that includes playtime and work time and remind them that if they don't disturb you while you are working, you will be able to give them your complete attention during playtime. As a reminder, use a do not disturb sign on your office door when you absolutely cannot be interrupted.

Of course, it is easy for your children to behave while you are working if they have something to do. Fill a box with games and toys that can only be used while mom is working. Make sure you add a new puzzle, coloring book, or small toy on a frequent basis, to keep your children interested.

If you don't work on the phone, it is a bit easier to keep your children content when you are working. Set up an office space just for them, complete with a small table and chairs. Fill a lunch box with some of their favorite snacks and a few juice boxes each morning, so you aren't inundated with requests for food and drinks. Add a children's magazine, simple puzzles, coloring books, and art supplies. When your children are able to work along side you, the number of interruptions should decrease drastically.

For moms who really need peace and quiet, but have small children, a mother's helper can be a great solution. Since you will still be in the house, you do not need a fully trained baby sitter to help out. Instead, look for a teen who has little babysitting experience, but likes kids. She will probably be happy to watch your children while you work for the cost of a few good after school snacks and a few dollars.

Finally, sometimes it's just not possible to keep your children quiet and content while you are working. If your child is ill, you may just need to decide to take the day off. After all, the reason you are working from home is to have the flexibility to be there for your children when they need you!

There is a new work at home business opportunity circling the internet called process at home. The program says that you can make money processing rebates from the comfort of your own home. There are a ton of people who would jump at a chance like this especially when the advertisement says that you can make up to $15 per rebate.

I have been working from home for several years now and throughout that time I have come across almost every type of home business out there. So when I heard about Process at Home I immediately checked it out and thoroughly researched the program.

There are several signs and dead giveaways that companies use when they do not want you to really know what they are selling in their program. These include evasive language, lots of bragging about how much money you are going to be making, and an overall emphasis on getting you to buy without thinking first.

This is the case with the Process at Home program, the opportunity sounds like a real job so just for trial purposes I went ahead and bought the system. I figured that if it is what it says then I can promote to my website visitors who would love a chance at this and if not then I would return the program.

So I ordered Process at Home and found out what they were selling instead of a rebate processor job. The way the program works is that you sign up to be an affiliate for a lot of companies selling digital products online. An affiliate is someone who promotes a product and if they refer a sale they get a commission, usually between 15-50% of the total price.

In this case you are instructed to advertise and market these products but also offer a rebate on the product themselves. Then if you get a sale you process the rebate simply by giving a portion of your commission back to the customer.

This method works if you are an expert internet marketer and can sell products online; however it is not a rebate processing job, only a sales strategy. After finding this out I returned the product and since they use a 3rd party payment processor I was able to get a refund.

I would not say that this is an outright scam but the advertising is misleading to the point where some people have started calling it just that. The people that receive emails about this program believe that it will be a real job and not a home business.

I think that there are better and more honest programs available to folks that are both looking for a work at home program and an online job.
