I love the look and smell of a fresh-cut tree for Christmas, but I don't like to have to shop for one. It is usually cold and snowing, and you have to find the perfect tree, which may include visiting more than one tree lot. Then you need to get the tree home without damaging it. It is such a hassle and I hate it! That is why I decided to buy a Christmas tree by mail for our home this year.

I had never purchased a Christmas tree by mail before, but some of my friends had raved over the ease in which it can be done. They said that it saved them both time and energy and made their lives much easier during the Christmas season. I could use more time and energy so I decided to try it. I liked the idea that I could get my tree from anywhere in the United States or Canada, which would give me a great selection. I also would not even have to leave the warmth and coziness of my home. This had to be better than visiting the local tree lot!

After running the idea by my family and getting their approval, I ventured online to check out the many different Christmas tree websites. You will find all different kinds of tree companies from all over the continent. You will be amazed at all of the tree choices that are available. Before I purchased my tree online, I wanted to check out a couple of things first. I wanted to see how they are shipped. Are they shipping carefully so that they arrive in optimum condition? Are the trees preserved to help keep them healthy until they reach my home? That very last thing that I needed was my tree arriving at my home with needles falling off or brown patches all over it.

After I chose the Christmas tree farm that I wanted to purchase my tree from, I had my family come to the computer so that we could decide on what size and type of tree that we wanted. After we had determined the tree that we wanted, I made my purchase and waited patiently for our very first Christmas tree to arrive by mail.

When it arrived, we quickly tore into the box and found that the Christmas tree was just as beautiful and fresh as the website had promised. We put it in the tree stand and decorated it that very night with a few of our close friends. This worked great for us and is a great alternative to visiting the Christmas tree lot during the cold and snowy winter.
