[Y4]Year Of The Lion
by Beverly Anne, Bev
It was a brilliant adaptation of two brilliant figures in history. I beg the playwriter's pardon if I openly steal from his title but it seemed the most appropriate for that which I am about to write, I believe under the anointing and leading of the Holy Spirit.

Prophetically speaking there are four major seasons in the year in which God initiates specific moves in the spiritual realm and then manifests them on the earth.

From September through November, we have the "harvest" months and the beginning of the Jewish New Year. It is the season in which many times God allows us to gather and receive the "harvest" of many of the seeds which we have planted over other seasons in our lives.

During the winter months that follow, there is very little fruitfulness taking place. The ground is frozen and almost dead of nutrients. The trees are horribly barren and even the animal kingdom seems to come to a stand still. Nothing takes place. It is in winter that all earthly creation comes to a dead stillness and even great military campaigns throughout history have come to their defeat or victory because of the dead of winter.

To the Christian, many having walked through what seemed an endless winter in their lives - everything also seems to be dead. Nothing is happening, moving, or advancing. The Christian must wait out the long, many times desperate and intense transition in hope that his or her "winter" may be over soon and a new life arise. A "new beginning."

For all practical purposes, it would seem that God, the mighty Lion of the Tribe of Judah has ceased to roar over Zion, His people. He seems to be still, far away, or even dead to the ones waiting for a desperate change and help!

Yet, it is during this "winter" season, the height of which reaches from late mid-February unto the beginnings of April, that the mighty Lion in winter has prepared to launch His next move in the lives of His faithful children and on His creation, earth, itself!

Whether the Child of God needs wisdom, direction, healing, deliverance, financial breakthrough - whatever, it is in the "winter" that the Lion has already prepared the strategic launch into the season of the Resurrection and April, the season of Spring!

For it is now Resurrection time once the "winter" has past!

That which seemed in your life to be dead, has life again. Where there seemed darkness, there is now the blooming Son coming through the rays of the sun. Jesus is alive and so are His promises. He is Risen! He is Alive!

All creation proclaims this, the rocks cry this declaration out - "He is Alive!" and "Christ is Risen" over your circumstances; over your heart ache; over your broken dreams, yes, dare dream again Beloved!

And then, well, the summer arrives where there are many times a full or partial manifestation of what God promised us in the Spring, during the Resurrection! His promises are all Amen and Amen.

And So Dearly Beloved, if you are going through your "winter", no matter how long, please remember that the "Lion in your winter" is about to roar in your life! He is about to shake the heavens and the earth with His roar and all creation will know it! Hallelujah!

But for now, if you've prayed; meditated in the Word; sought God's Will with all of your heart; and still comes the question to your mind - where are you God?

Then, wait for the dark clouds of winter will pass and soon He will help you and your circumstances.

Soon He will move and you will better be able to see the whole picture. For the Lion in your winter is about to pounce in your behalf. He is about to erupt in your midst and roar! Amen and Amen.
