For children with autism the problems mean different disabilities starting with behavior disorders and going further to the communication and integration inability. Family or close friends should think about Asperger's syndrome if they notice a strange behavior in their child or friend. If he starts to think different from the rest of the people questions should be asked. It is hard to tell when a person suffers from this syndrome because his other capacities and abilities are able to hide his communication or integration problems. A child with Asperger's syndrome is a child that behaves different and sometimes even odd. He usually focuses on things that attract him and loves to be left alone in his world. He is also incapable to understand why people perceive things in different ways than him.

Children that develop normally in the first years of their life and that later they seem to lose their capacity of normal development because of autistic features are children with childhood disintegrative disorder. In time their speech areas of the brain are affected so the loss of speaking capacity is unavoidable. The other autistic features start to develop too.

Rett's disease is a problem that affects only girls. These girls develop microcephaly after a 6 months normal development. The autistic features are seen in these cases too.

PDD NOS will have a lesser degree of a severe impairment. The children have the capacity to communicate even if it is about verbal or non-verbal communication. They also develop autistic features such as severe problems when it comes to social interaction. This diagnosis is for children that do not fully qualify for any other autistic diagnosis.
