>Many public domain works include (nearly) timeless and entirely relevant information on wildly popular ‘interests’ such as making money, self-improvement, writing, playing sports, interpreting dreams, astrology, public speaking, entrepreneurship, recipes and lots more.

>The information is immediately usable – for many public domain works all you need to do is to simply do some minor editing, re-package the knowledge into a medium of your liking (we’ll discuss this in more detail a little later) and then sell it. Of course, you can also produce derivative works, but the power of immediate re-usability is one of the primary reasons many people are attracted to the public domain.

>There is an abundance of such information. We’re talking about publications that span over a century, and maybe even more than that when you take into account classic works that were published before copyright law even existed.

>Use of a particular public domain work by someone else does not mean that you cannot use that same public domain work for your own commercial purpose. >Public Domain works are not restricted in the format they are stored. Thus you can convert a book on interpreting dreams into an audio course, or create a website around a book on public speaking. This is more of a ‘how to profit from public domain works’ feature, but it’s important enough to note here.

There are many different reasons that public domain works are profitable. But essentially, the main reason is that they allow you to quickly and inexpensively start an ever ending info product business online with very little effort.

People are always on the lookout for the newest and easiest ways to make money that they tend to overlook what's right in front of them. Just take the copyright free information for example. It has been around for years but it's only recently that people took notice of its money generating potential. But what is it, exactly? And how can you make money through it? First off, this copyright free information is more appropriately referred to as public domain information and basically includes anything that is not protected by the US copyright laws. Various works that were published before 1923 as well as some, under certain conditions, that were published up to 1978. However, there are new additions every single day to this archive so there's plenty to choose from. Now, when I say information I'm not just referring to actual books about various courses and manuals about how to create things as it covers many different things. The different works that are considered to be “free for public use” would include music, movies, photographs, books, posters, plays and so on. Now, one question remains. How can you make money off of these things? There are many ways by which you can do this.

Works that are in the public domain can be re-packaged and re-published without the need to pay anyone royalties nor is there a need for you to purchase the rights to it because as we have mentioned above, they are free for anyone's use. From the information available, you can create your own books or e-books which you can then sell. You can use the music for your projects without having to pay anybody for its use. You can sell tickets to public screening of various movies and you can even use the photographs for various decorative prints, posters and so on without having to shell out a single cent. The best part of this is that you get to keep 100% of the profits that you make. Did you know that the information business is one of the most profitable ventures that anyone can enter? If you think about it, there would never be a lack in the demand for information and there would always be room for more people who could provide info about all sorts of subjects.

There are people who choose to create their own information but many of them end up failing because, let's face it, the work that it involves can be very tedious and time consuming. Not everyone has got enough time on their hands to really focus on their work and as such, they are likely to end up not finishing anything at all. There are also those who choose to take the easier route and simply purchase the rights to publish another person's work under their own name. True, it is indeed easier but it will cost you a significant amount of money. Using public domain information to your advantage is obviously the best way to go. You make hundreds with a very small investment. What could be better than that? All you need to do is find the information you need, get a little creative and you'll be well on your way to generating profits from them.
