Focus RS WRC 06 was conceptualized and created by M-Sport and specialist engineers in Ford TeamRS, the automaker's in-house performance car and motorsport division. Ford Focus was introduced in 1998 in Europe and in 2000 in North America. Since its inception, Focus has become the best-selling car in the United Kingdom. The handling, driver responsiveness and ride offered by the car are commended by the motoring press. World Rally Car is the term employed to mean a racing automobile that is manufactured in accordance with the specification set by the FIA. Said car is used to compete in the outright class of the World Rally Championship.

FIA, on the other hand, is short for F'd'ration Internationale de l'Automobile. It is a non-profit organization that was established in 1904. Said organization is aimed at promoting the interest of motor car owners as well as motoring organizations.
