HYIP Investing: The Strategy
by Czajkcr, Cza
People often ask me what is HYIP investing and why is it so popular? HYIP investing is called High Yield Investment Program and is an investment in high yield return opportunities, whether it is the Forex market or a bigger investment program. It is so popular because you have the potential of making a very good rate of return on your capital; much better than a bank or mutual fund investment.

Although these programs can be very profitable they are also very risky: the higher the risk the higher the profit. You always need to understand that you could lose your capital at anytime. Investments bust or companies go under, anything can happen in the world of HYIP investment, including scams.

Scams are a big problem for the HYIP industry and can be very prevelent. The lure of easy money and taking advantage of people causes a lot of unstable programs. Always do background on the investments that you want to join. There are many resources for this such as forums or HYIP monitors. Programs promising returns that double your investment the next day is probable one to watch out for. Send emails with questions to the admins and check their contact information.

Due Diligence is an important step in your investment process. Do some research before you invest in an investment program. Make sure to research how many days has the program has been up and running. Check with other users on their thoughts on the program. Is their contact information real? HYIP monitoring sites can give you a picture of the programs payout status. If you can answer yes to 90% of these questions, then it is probable that the program is strong. There is other sources of information on the Interent that can be useful, forums and HYIP listing sites are a good example.

The biggest thing with HYIPs is how you are going to invest successfully. I find the best way to invest is to diversify, diversify, diversify and diversify. You could invest 100 dollars in one program or you could invest 20 dollars in 5 programs. In the first scenario, if the
investment goes south, you are out your 100 dollars. In the second scenario, if one out of the five investments goes south, you still have 80 dollars invested.

Do not get over anxious in your investing. Some programs rate of return will do really well and your first instinct is to put more money into the program. Do not do it. Stick with your game plan and it will all work out in the end.

Never reinvest your earnings until after you have taken out your initial capital that you first put in. That way, if the program does ever go bad then at least you were investing with profits and not your cash. Always take your initial capital out first then you can reinvest for bigger profits.

Supplimenting your investment portfolio with HYIP is smart and profitable if you stick with your plan. Patience is a virtue.
