* It is because content is loved by the search engines. They use it for their customers when they are looking for something.

* When the search engines find good content then they'll most likely use it on their site.You see they want good content for their readers. If your's is good they they'll probably use it.

* Which means if you have good content on your site, that search engines will visit it. If they decide it is good quality content, then your site will be ranked on their search engine, you might even get on their first page.

So how do you get good content?

1. You could write it yourself 2. Alternatively you can get someone else to write it like Elance.com or Guru.com 3. There are Free PLR artilce sites that supply good content.

You might want to know what should be in it?

1. A good headline--List a key benefit 2. Good opening sentence. Make it interesting, list benefits here.

3. Body of article--The body should start of listing their problem. Then start answering their problem with great useful content.

4. Next step is, you'll want to create some bullet points---Just like these one's you're looking at right NOW. It's easier for the readers eye's, hence people are more likely to read the rest of your article.

5. So make suggestions for them, let them know where they can go for some more information.

6. Show that you are an expert in the field.

*If you provide good content, you'll be helping people. They will appreciate this and want to read more of your stuff. You will become known as an expert author and gain a lot of credibility.

* Get your ideas from the net, this is research, you can do a Google search on your niche topic. Look at sites with lots of pages, these could provide you some useful info. Try the article directories, such as Ezinearticles.com or Goarticles.com. Search for your topic and choose an article, don't copy it. Get an idea and write it in your own words.

* They there's Yahoo Answers a great place to see what people are asking questions about. Find something on your subject and get ideas.

* Another trick is to check out forums, news boards, or blogs on your topic, see what people are talking about, submit some questions and see what the answers are.

* Another good source is news groups. These have loads of different categories and you can check them out. Google has new group too which might help. Just go here http://groups.google.com/ and see what you can find.
