There are both public and private waters in Spain and you will require an additional authorization to fish a few of the really fine waters. In Spain there are three types of waters: Free waters that do not require a particular permit. Restricted waters that do require a permit (regularly awarded through a draw system). Fisheries are the last kind of waters. You can typically buy a permit for them in the local pub or a shop near the water (river or lake).

It is well worth having a wander around this village, whose origins go back to medieval time. Cadaques is a small fishing village just south of the French border. It is the ideal place for fishing. Nerja and Tarragona dominated by the lower Ebro, this is an anglers paradise. Excellent coarse fishing is offered in the main river, with plentiful sea fishing opportunities in the delta. Lleida, Situated at the foot of the Pyrenees and dominated by the fertile Rio Segre valley, this beautiful province has endless fishing opportunities for all anglers.
