Plan A Bloodcurdling Bash!
by ,
As soon as the last days of October fill the air, novelty stores' sales reach sky high. Houses prepare for a different kind of celebration for one night only. Parents and elders buy chocolates and sweets from local candy stores, at the same time, helping their kids get ready for trick or treating. Some people, on the other hand, like young professionals, whoop it up by planning get-togethers with their family or intimate friends. So if what you have in mind is merrymaking, you either plan a party or get party planners.

For professional party planners or event organizers, it would be so easy to organize any social gathering. For them, it would just seem as normal as breathing. But for amateurs or people who are not so exposed to parties, you may find it hard to prepare a shindig as cool and as flocked by famous personalities like the ones prepared by pros. So, why don't you try your hand at some of the tips shown below? The next thing you know, yours will be one hell of an unforgettable Halloween party and even a celebrity might drop by.

Invitations

Hand out invites weeks before the event so that the people you're inviting can conveniently reserve a slot in his planner only for your party. Make sure that the invites are well-presented. Don't forget the important information what, where, when and what to wear and/or bring. And last but not the least, make you're party seem fun-packed even before the actual event by designing the invitation in a cool and artistic way according to your Halloween theme.

Venue

A party's first impression is usually seen in the way the room is arranged or decorated. Spider-webs, jack o lanterns, candles and hanging bats are a usual sight. Fog machines and cool lightings are now available in today's technology, not to mention, in today's market. Get them before your neighbor does. Also, a humid room is not very conducive for dancing and merrymaking, so make sure that the room has just the right temperature. Don't forget the music to keep the house and the party pumping. You don't have to opt for the creepy howling of wolves just to get with the occasion. House music is your best bet.

Attire

Costumes are a must. But instead of the typical monster costumes, dressing up like your favorite dead celebrities will still give your bash that spooky feel. Give your party a theme if you want to have your costumes coordinated.

Food

Go for cool cookies that are cut and shaped into different weird creatures or those gummy worms in various neon hues or punch in red coloring. Aside from these, you should also serve main course meals if you're not planning a cocktail party.

Souvenir/Party favors

Sinister little knick-knacks are available in novelty stores. Or if you want it personalized, why not make your own? That way, they will not just remember the event, but also the host himself. Try sewing extra pieces of clothes in gloomy colors into a little rag doll, stuff with cotton and sew them in.
