[T1166]Top Things To Do In Ireland
by Therese Zachary, The
Purpose of Suppressants

Adjustment - Doctor prescribed oral appetite reduction tablets and capsules shouldn't be used alone. They aren't really intended as separate weight loss solutions. What doctors normally do is that they prescribe these medicines for oral intake in conjunction with other weight loss solutions such as exercise and diet. The real purpose of these suppressants is not to control your appetite permanently. They are only intended to help individuals adjust to new diet plans and prescribed eating habits. Eventually, using these medications for a long period of time will reduce their overall effectiveness in reducing appetite.

Following Doctor's Orders

The safest thing is to take only prescribed medications. Since individual conditions differ per person, your doctor may recommend a different dosage for you. This is why it is important to always pay attention to doctor's instructions for the safe and optimum use of oral suppressants. Do remember too that you have to reveal as much as you can about your medical history to your doctor before accepting your prescription. Your doctor has to know if you are pregnant, if you have underlying medical conditions or if you are under some type of medication. There may be serious complications if you take appetite suppressants under these conditions.

Living a Healthy Lifestyle

A Mix of Everything - As already mentioned, you cannot rely solely on your medication to reduce appetite. It is important to follow your weight loss exercise program and your diet plan to the letter. Remember that medications to control your appetite only work on your craving to eat. They cannot control your food choices, your lifestyle habits or your desire to perform your daily or weekly exercise routines.

Side Effects

Like other medications, suppressants may lead to side effects. Naturally though, not everyone experiences all of these side effects and not in the same degree. Some possible side effects include nausea, dizziness, constipation, dryness of mouth, stomach pain, insomnia and headache. Some individuals may also experience chest pains, paranoia and depression. With suppressants, you may be at risk of becoming dependent.

Alternatives

Other Options - Oral medications to control your appetite may be safely used in a lot of cases. Some people however may prefer to try safer alternatives first. There are a couple of natural options. You can try hypnosis or meditation. You could also manage your food choices and eating habits. Eating more fiber and eating in smaller more frequent portions for example may be helpful. A final alternative would be to use all natural supplements that can also help suppress your appetite. You can try products containing Hoodia or the more recently discovered suppressant herb Caralluma.

In the fast-paced society that we live in today, a lot of people are impatient and are always in a hurry about lots of things. The same is true even in the dating scene. But you may only be given an opportunity to impress your date once, so you better be good and ready when that time comes. Nowadays, more than ever, first impressions usually last.

If your date planner is filled with first dates and blind dates which do not lead to second or third base, then you should find out what you are doing wrong before you even schedule another date. Since there are many guys or gals out there, your date will not think twice of eliminating you in his or her list of prospective partners due to the minutest mistake or mishap.

Although emotional and mental connection is important, you also need to think about impressing your date physically. This doesn't mean, however, that you have to show everything or let your date have a peak of your crown jewels every time go out on a date. Based on interviews with friends and articles in several magazines and newspapers, below are some of the things that can turnoff any date.

What's That Smell?

Even if it is freezing cold outside, you need to make sure that you take a bath and smell nice before a date. You will be meeting someone romantically for the first time and that person will greatly appreciate it if you have somehow made an effort to smell nice and look presentable during your meeting.

Make sure that your clothes are newly laundered and you have put on deodorant and a not-so-overpowering fragrance before you step out the door and meet your date. Although there will be no kissing on the first date, you still need to brush your teeth and gargle on a mouthwash so that your breath will smell fresh and nice. Halitosis is a major turn off for many people.

Mind Your Manners

Since most first dates usually involve eating dinner in a restaurant or having snacks in a café, you need to make sure that you mind your table manners. If you usually eat with one foot atop a chair, then you need to restrain your urge of doing that even if the food that is served is your favorite. And please, do not talk when your mouth is full because it is very rude. Lastly, practice eating silently. When you chew, make sure your mouth is shut so no slurping or sound comes out of your mouth. If you need to laugh or say something, swallow your food first. You really do not have to be so formal, just knowing even the most basic table manners will do.

The X-Factor

Don't go on blabbering about your ex-boyfriend with your date. You are in a date to move on and meet other people and not to find someone to rant on about how unhappy you are about leaving your ex or how hurt you are for being dumped. Your date is interested in you and not on your past relationships. If your date asks about your ex, a short and simple answer will do. By the way, don't go on asking your date about his ex relationships too because doing so can be another major turnoff.

Show-Off Your Nails

One of the things that guys and gals secretly look at to know if a date is hygienic and clean is the nails. You really do not have to spend so much in a spa to have your digits manicured and pampered, just show up with clean and well-trimmed nails. If you have nail fungus, you need to use a fast-acting fungi-buster days before your date so that your nails will at least look presentable. Nail fungal infections left untreated will not only spread, but will also smell awfully, so be sure to find a cure before you go on a date.
