The verse commands us to worship our Lord till the certainty comes to you. Herein the certainty is the Death. According to the Islamic teaching, man in this life is sleeping and when he dies he wakes up; because he will see and know for certain his fate either to hell or heaven according to his faith and work. This means that one has to worship His Lord all the time because we do not know when the death comes! ========

49) "Tell my worshipers (servants) that I am indeed the oft-forgiving, most merciful"
This verse announces that Allah, your Creator, is the oft-forgiving, most merciful. He is the only One Who forgives you. If you sin, just ask Him to forgive you. Do not put anyone between you and Him. You do not have to confess to anyone but Him! Bee aware of that the verse following this one says:" and that my punishment-- that is the painful punishment" =========
