Another advantage of a paid service is the quality of the women. Now when I say quality, I don't mean the women are better looking on a premium websites. Instead the women on here take their online dating efforts more seriously. If a girl is willing to pay the "price of admission", then she'll be more likely to respond to the emails you send her. So you'll discover that you'll get MORE responses from these types of sites.

Obviously the biggest con of using a paid site is you have to spend money. But there is also another major problem with these websites. Many of them make you pay upfront.

So if you lay down some cash and the service stinks, then you'll have wasted your money. That's why it's important to only use trusted sites and also do your research before you spend a dime.
