If you know someone who is celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary, you should consider giving them a nice gift. This is, after all, a tremendous accomplishment, particularly in today's world. Be sure to choose something that reflects the importance of the event, which is sure to please the wonderful couple you wish to honor.

Think Silver

The 25th wedding anniversary is considered the 'silver' anniversary. As such, this is the best time to give something silver. If you are honoring your spouse on your own anniversary, consider a silver piece of jewelry. Your wife will love a silver pendant with a beautiful diamond on it, and this is the best way to show her your appreciation for sticking with you for all of these years. If you are shopping for your husband, consider a silver-toned wristwatch to show him your love is still strong.

If you are shopping for someone else, not your own spouse, you can still use silver to commemorate the occasion. A beautiful silver picture frame etched with their names and wedding date can make a nice gift. If you can find an old picture from their courtship or wedding, this can add a personalized touch.

Perhaps the couple you wish to honor loves to entertain. Consider buying them a silver entertainment platter they can use at their frequent parties. Again, having it etched with their wedding date will make it a personal, thoughtful gift.

Commemorate the Years

If you have a little time on your hands, consider making something that will personalize and commemorate the event for the happy couple. Other Creative Ideas

If you want to be creative, consider sending the special couple on a special trip. Places like Silver Springs or Silver Strand Beach in California are perfect for this use. If you are doing an all-inclusive package, try to reserve a silver rental car. After all, silver is the theme of this anniversary.

Be sure to offer the couple a chance to spend time with their friends and family as they celebrate their special anniversary. After 25 years together, they have met and loved many special people. For most couples, spending time with the ones they love is one of the best gifts they can be given, and those who attend the party can wrap their cards and gifts in silver ribbons to help bring honor to the couple.

Though your grandmother or grandfather may have had a stroke many years ago, you are lucky since she is still with you. They still may not remember a lot of things, but they are there to remember us. They may often get our names wrong, but they are usually pretty close. They may call you by your sister's name, and they may tell you that they knows who you are, but somewhere in there the wires are crossed, which is a shame.
You may not be if they will realize what a milestone their fifth wedding anniversary will be, but you do know that they still love their spouse of many years very much. You can often catch them looking at other in a way that says nothing other than love and love for a life time. The fact that they have been through so much and will be celebrating their fifth wedding anniversary says a lot about that look.
They have been through a lot. You may remember when you was young and heard something that might have stopped their marriage from going any further. Then there would have never been able to celebrate their fifth wedding anniversary. You may remember that your grandmother suspected your grandfather had cheated on her, but in the end it came out that he and this woman were just friends, but they can understand why the friendship made your grandmother uncomfortable.
That woman is still around, though your grandfather does not see her anywhere and properly never did. You may not suspect that she will be invited to the fifth wedding anniversary celebration. You know this woman and your grandfather may have had feelings deeper than friendship, though apparently they never acted on them. The sad thing is that she still works right next door to where my grandparents live.
She was a friend to your grandmother, which makes you very angry. You may be almost tempted to send her some favors from the upcoming fifth wedding anniversary celebration, just to show her that she cannot hurt your grandmother again. However, that would be childish of you, and you should let sleeping dogs lie, but that does not mean it is not tempted. Despite everything, you may think that the fifth wedding anniversary is going to be about more than grandparents. In fact, it is going to be a reminder to all of you that it is possible to stay together, then you just have to be willing to work on it.
