[U36]Unhealthy Way To Lose Weight
by Derek Huizinga, Der
Creative approaches often work better.

One sure method of reducing weight is by practising what is known
as "fletcherism." It was discovered in 1898 by american Horace
Fletcher. At 40, Fletcher considered himself an old man. He was 50
pounds overweight, contracted flu every six months and constantly
complained of indigestion and a tired feeling. After a long and
deep study, he made some important discoveries and prescribed the
rules for "Fletcherism" which are as follows:

1. Chew your food to a pulp or milky liquid until it practically
swallows itself.

2. Never eat until hungry.

3. Enjoy every bite or morsel, savouring the flavour until it is
swallowed.

4. Do not eat when tired, angry, worried, and at meal-time refuse
to think or talk about unpleasant subjects.

Horace Fletcher followed these rules for five months. As a result
he lost more than 60 pounds and felt better than he had for 20
years, and many people have followed his advice to health over the
years. A weight reducing programme built on Fletcherism works
wonders and is well worth a try.

Cabbage is considered to be an effective home remedy for obesity.
Recent research has discovered tartroric acid which inhibits the
conversion of sugar and other carbohydrates into fat, so cabbage is
of great value in weight reduction. Variations of cabbage recipes
would be the simplest way to stay slim. A hundred grams of cabbage
yields only 27 kilo calories of energy while the same quantity of
wheat bread will yield about 240 calories. Cabbage is found to
possess the maximum biological value with minimum caloric value.
Moreover, it gives a lasting feeling of fullness in the stomach and
is easily digestible, and great for your digestive tract. We love
cabbage.

Try this time-tested recipe for weight-control without loss of
energy: one spoon of fresh honey should be mixed with a juice of
half a lime in a glass of luke-warm water and taken at regular
intervals.

The foods which should be drastically curtailed or altogether
avoided are high-fat foods such as butter, cheese, chocolates,
cream, ice-cream, fat meats, fried foods, gravies, high
carbohydrated foods like bread, candy, cake, cookies, cereal
products, legumes, potatoes, honey, sugar, syrup, soda and
alcoholic drinks.

Also, try Yoga for an effective way to control weight, It uses
techniques that gently improve the blood circulation and strengthen
areas which helps to burn the excess fat.

Have you embarked upon every new fad diet known to mankind but still don't really understand about ways to lose weight and keep it off? Have you followed exercise routines to lose weight without success? You're not alone, but if this rings a bell for you, as it did for me, formally Queen of the Biggest Losers/Biggest Gainers, you are definitely in need of a different approach as I was.

You may commit yourself to diets and get-fit-quick plans like I did only to be disappointed. Your body shape may balloon and shrink depending on whether you are on an up or down' in your health cycle. If you have not been able to lose that extra fat for good and feel full of energy you need a new answer.

The thing about weight gain is that it happens gradually, without us feeling it or even realizing it. Before we know it, we have become over weight or even obese and lack the energy we need. To reclaim our healthy body, lose our extra flab and keep weight off, we need to alter the daily behavior that caused this in the first place.

How do we start to identify these ways to lose weight? Slowly, just as we gained this weight, by making small, healthy changes over time. Some are related to the nutrition in our diet, others to our exercise and lifestyle.

If you make many changes that overwhelm you soon after you start, you are unlikely to alter the way you eat and exercise permanently. Start by making small adjustments to what you eat. To lose and then keep weight off consistently, remove some un-healthy foods and replace them with items that are good for you.

To avoid obesity and maintain the right body fat, balance the amount and type of food you eat with your daily exercise. It is not a case of Once past the Lips Forever on the Hips. Rather it is Once past the Lips without Exercise will see this happen.

Begin an exercise routine and discover that taking a regular early morning swim or walk can be one of many ways to lose weight. Choose ways to increase your metabolism from a range of easily accessible exercises. When you decide on this, make sure to gradually work towards a target that you will be able to reach.

Use different ways to objectively chart your weight loss and any changes to your body shape. Measure changes to your waist or hips as well as checking your weight. This will inform you about all aspects of your progress, not just your weight loss.

Even when they are working, ways to lose weight can get monotonous. To last the distance, build in non-eating benefits to keep you motivated and on track. Buy some new software or even new clothes to show off your changing 'look'.

You can lose weight, keep it off and feel healthier without embarking on the latest fad diet or exercise regime. Instead, take a look at what you presently eat and how you exercise and gradually begin to change each of these so that you use more energy than you gain through your daily meals. These ways to lose weight are far simpler and more successful in the long run - I know!
