[T1211]Trade Show Shipping Cases
by Anna Woodward, Ann
While there are many types of box and container that one might consider a shipping case, the common perception is that these will be among the most durable containers available due to their time in transit and the challenges of modern package moving technology and personnel.

Robustly constructed cases ensure maximum protection for scientific, industrial, commercial, or military equipment and instruments. A high-quality transit case should be constructed of high-quality materials. Better transportation cases are extremely well built to assure safe transit of their contents. They are lightweight, incredibly rugged, and flexible. A high-quality case is usually designed in such a manner that it can carry and store sophisticated items safely and securely.

For safe transit in hazardous conditions shipping cases must be durable and weather-resistant.

Shipping cases are available in a variety of materials such as aluminum, plastic, foam, fiberglass, hardwood, etc. The production processes of shipping cases differ from case to case, depending on the application. Examples includes custom shipping cases, tool crib shipping containers, plastic shipping containers, insulated shipping containers, plastic shipping cases, plastic shipping crates, ocean shipping containers, steel shipping containers, and Styrofoam shipping containers. Intermediate bulk containers (IBC) and flexible intermediate bulk containers (FIBC) are also available.

Advances in technologies used in the production of boxes and shipping containers have changed the way the packaging industry transports goods to various destinations. You can avoid loss or damage of goods during transportation by using the appropriate shipping cases. Fiberglass cases offer greater convenience when compared to cases made from other materials.

If you're traveling to a trade show, the last thing you want to worry about is whether or not your materials will arrive safely. Trade-show shipping cases help you to expand your business by safely and effectively transporting your trade-show displays from one venue to another.

Considerations for choosing the right shipping cases include volume capacity, weight capacity, tare weight, diameter, length, width, and height. Features common to shipping containers and shipping cases include collapsibility, handles, EMI/RFI shielding, covers, hazardous materials storage, locks or restricted access, stack-ability, and mobility (wheels).

Today, all manner of improved transport boxes offer better quality, durability, and safety than ever before. A customer can choose a shipping case based on his or her specific requirements. All shipping cases, regardless of size or shape, will help to keep your trade-show displays in solid condition and will last for many years.

If you are arranging to attend an exhibition in order to advertise and promote your company, give some serious thought to how you want to be perceived. Do some research beforehand by attending various trades shows and take note of why certain stands catch your eye and seem to attract more people. Look out for products similar to yours and see how they have been displayed, you can pick up lots of tips and ideas from doing this.

The look and feel for each exhibition will be different as you have to surprise your target group every time. It's important to find out some basic information first. Things like the number of people who are likely to attend, where your stand will be paced and which companies are situated around you. Preparations like these should help you start with the planning of your design. When you finished a sketch of the design you then can look at it objectively and this way any areas that might cause problems will be identified.

Trade shows are brilliant locations to launch new products promote existing ones and introduce upgrades to existing product lines, as your target market comes to you and are willing to listen. The key to a successful exhibition or trade show is how you use the space allocated to create an attention grabbing display that will persuade shoppers to stop and give you the attention you seek.

How to catch the attention of visitors? Be sure not to be too loud and especially not irritating other stand holders because this could mean, visitors avoiding instead of looking at your stand. Here are a few pointers: number one; keep it calm and simple. Remember less is more. Number two; although you have got the best stand of the exhibition you'll still need to employ a sales person with an extraordinary bubbling personality who has the knowledge about the product so can answer any questions. Welcoming customers, in a natural friendly way as they walk by and giving out flyers will either encourage visitors to stop and find out more information or to return later in the day if they are interested. Sometimes customers dislike pushy sales staff and will just walk away if they welcome them. This is where Number 3 comes in; make sure to display catalogues and brochures openly and attractively on a brochure stand so the people who would like tot walk away can easily pick one up, and if all is good come back and ask for information or even buy the product you are selling!

Try to find an idea that is different to everyone else, no-one wants to walk around an exhibition and see the same thing over and over. Finding an attraction that is new and appeals to your target market can be a great success. Hiring staff to give out free refreshments or goodie bags can boost visitors' experience and will ensure your stand is remembered. Graphics, materials, size and elevation can all be designed in such a way as to ensure your message is put across and gets attention. Custom-built trade show displays allow you to be creative, dramatic, and relevant to support your launch in the most powerful way possible. Do your research and use your imagination and sell that product!

Your objective is to encourage shoppers to at least notice your stand, at best to buy. When there are so many other companies at a venue this can be difficult, so it has to stand out from the others by being, in some way, unique. Using a visual pop up display or colorful backdrop that is in shoppers? line of sight as they walk towards the stand can get their attention. Once they have stopped you need them to stay long enough to pick up some information and, hopefully, buy something! Using your creativity to make a stand distinctive can be very beneficial and will give you that competitive edge. The more memorable your exhibition stand is will ensure its success at the venue and heighten awareness of the product.
