In Florence, the capital of Tuscany, the Ponte Vecchio (Old Bridge) dates back to 1345 and spans the River Arno. The Uffizi palace, built in 1560, is full of Renaissance art treasures, including works by Giotto, Lippi and Botticelli. Michelangelo's statue of David stands in the academy and the majestic cathedral with its famous dome is a work of art in itself.
Siena is another historic and beautiful city. Its main square, the Piazza del Campo, houses an intricately sculptured fountain and the Palazzo Publicco, a palace dating from 1297 with an amazing collection of frescos. Tuscany is considered one of the most beautiful regions in Italy and it holds much promise for anyone who is visiting. Also there are many historical towns such as Siena and Lucca that can be visited that show off their medieval heritage and culture. In the area Thermal springs are present, these are all natural and allow visitors step into a warm natural pool. But most people are attracted to the area just to experience the laid back Italian lifestyle that allows time just to pass by. For many tourists; for example those from Germany or the UK this may come as a shock as the lifestyle is completely different and a lot slower than Berlin or London.
But to visit Tuscany people need accommodation and although there are numerous cottages around the area, there are also gorgeous hotels that are situated close to many of the attractions. These Hotels are very grand in cases with many 5 and 4 star hotels letting tourists have the maximum comfort and the most enjoyable holiday possible. Most hotels will feature private balcony views and satellite TV for those off days where the weather does not coincide with the beautiful views; many hotels also feature a private swimming pool that backs on to Tuscan views of the hills.
From the airport car hire is available allowing you to drive straight to the Hotels letting you have a hassle free journey. The Tuscany area is very laid back and prestigious, an fact that carries into the Hotels that are created in the same type of traditional fashion as the towns and cottages around the area to keep that historical feel. The car journeys alone to the Hotels are very interesting as the roads mostly have to wind up and down the beautiful hillside and this creates some staggering views as you are traveling along.
This means that even before you reach your accommodation you are already astounded and mesmerized. Due to the nature of the area you get a lot of sunshine and it very rarely rains during the months of summer. This provides beautiful views from sunrise to sunset, whether it is from the balcony of your hotel or from the cottage you are staying in. the views are so stunning that most people can sit there and enjoy these views while sipping the wine they have bought from the vineyards that day.
Overall the Tuscan region is considered one of the most beautiful in the world and you can see why, with all the attractions connected with it and the great accommodation it is a perfect place to visit for everybody and it offers an experience that is sure for you to remember and never forget.
