Do you remember the movie, Bambi?  During spring time all the animals begin to notice the opposite sex and the magic of “love" takes place.  The word, twitterpaited, is used to illustrate this magical phenomenon.  Well guess what, I am twitterpaited!! 

As you know I am divorced and have a great relationship with my ex-husband.  We share stories about our dating experiences and only desire happiness for each other. 

For the past eight months, I have been dating on-line and it’s been a wonderful experience in practicing how to date again after twenty seven years.  I am so grateful for these men who I have attracted and given me the opportunity to learn how to communicate better.  Have I learned a lot?  YES!!!  Am I ready to write a book about my experiences?  YES!!!  I’ll share a funny story about one man who asked me if my teeth were my own.  It seems that he had gone on a date and the woman had borrowed a friend’s false teeth.  Pretty funny, huh?  I have others to share, but I’ll save those for my book.   

Remember how I’ve written about the Law of Attraction.  Recently, I met someone who is absolutely incredible.  He e-mailed me on the dating service and I wrote back that I love to laugh.  Thus, I told him to make me laugh and that he would be graded.  Of course, I expected that he would just send these knock, knock jokes, but he blew me away with his hilarious story about high school pranks.  I was rolling on the floor with laughter.  Then when I met him, I felt like I was in the presence of Robin Williams; I had to hold my cheeks as they hurt from laughing so hard.  It’s a great feeling! 

I’m sharing my story because I believe in the Laws of Attraction.   Three years ago I wrote down the characteristics of the man I intended to attract--I got this idea from Tony Robbins, who is a motivational speaker.  This man has all those characteristics.  Each day I express gratitude for my great relationship knowing that I’m sending out that higher vibrational thought.  I get to surrender this to God and leave it in His hands. I get to enjoy and live in the moment and it feels tremendous. Whatever you send out is what you will get back so why not make it positive?

We have all been there, struggling to lose weight and hoping that this new program will be your weight loss cure. What no one tells you is that there is no "one-cure-fits-all" program because we are all built differently. Most diet programs stress food but changing only your eating habits will cause you to lose muscle and not fat. To successfully lose the fat weight we have accumulated, you will need to exercise and this can be accomplished simply by fitness walking.

Since all that is required is the placing of one foot in front of the other, it is definitely a foolproof form of exercise. However, determining how many calories are burned when walking is not as simple since there are several factors to consider in the calculation.

The first factor to consider is weight. This is the leading factor in determining how many calories a person will burn. A person who carries more weight around will lose more weight and burn more calories. This is great news for those who are really overweight, but adjustments can be made for those who are slightly overweight to help increase the calories burned. One weight loss secret is to strap on some free weights around your ankles to increase the weight your body must support while walking. Also, adding more weights as you lose pounds will help you maintain your weight loss momentum.

Another important consideration is your speed when walking. Walking will either help you burn more calories or it will burn fewer calories depending on how fast you walk. Walking faster gets your heart rate going rapidly. The faster it beats, the more it will raise your metabolism. Where you walk is an additional item to factor into your calculation. When you walk, you can either walk uphill, downhill, or on a flat surface. The harder your body has to work, the more calories you will lose. So it would be ideal if you could find a place to walk uphill. Walking downhill, on the other hand, will cause you to not lose as many calories because your body is hardly working.

How much sleep you get is one more item to take into account when figuring your calorie burning efficiency. Not many people know about this little weight loss secret. We all need sleep and if our bodies get enough sleep it will operate just fine. However, if we do not get enough sleep our bodies will not function properly. You will get tired very fast and when this happens you will need to compensate for that tired feeling. Most people will turn to snacking on foods to help them get through their tired part of the day. This adds up to many extra unwanted calories that turn into fat eventually. So if you are trying to lose fat, just make sure you get enough sleep and that will help you a great deal.

Everyone is hoping to find that perfect weight loss cure to help them lose the extra fat that has found its way onto their body. Fitness walking can provide this cure and it is the simplest possible plan to follow. All you need to do in order to burn the maximum amount of calories while walking is to walk very fast, walk uphill if at all possible, put on some extra ankle weights, and get plenty of sleep the night before.
